Blue Screen of Death

"Blue Screen of Death" (I have the product key, but no software for the tower) I am trying to find out if I can repair this issue. Message appearing is as follows:

STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
SystemRootSystem32ConfigSOFTWARE or its log or alternate
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.

I have tried booting up with all options from Safe Mode to Normal and I it starts going through the files listed on a black background and white fonts, then stops and goes back to the BSofD.

Again, I do not have the software. If I could only make it in to boot up with command prompt I could boot up from the back up files on the Hard Drive using: C:\\Windows\System32\restore\rstrui.exe, but I need to be able to get as far as Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

Unfortunately microsoft doesnt make the software avaliable. You will need to find someone with a disc. Its a real problem for someone that has a catastrophic crash since most manufactures dont give you the disc anymore, they put a backup on the hard drive which is no help when you cant access it. It is in no way illegal to reload your own system and use your own purchaced key. See can you find someone with a disc. The disc doesnt contain the key you have to use your own.
