Question about TV Receivers & DVRs
My tv goes mute frequently when i'm watching live shows or recorded shows on my dvr. the only way to fix it is by: 1) turning off and on the tv or 2)hitting the replay button till it goes back go a part of the program where i can hear the volume.
delete any programs that are not needed on the dvr. restart the reciever. if the problem continues, its the tuner and hard drive not working together. receiver may need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Recording on my Dish 625 dvr
Okay, we can do this. Go to the menu on the satellite at either TV locations. and press 8 then 5. You are now at the Record Plus screen. Move the highlight to the record preferenceand toggle up or down to the desired record preference. After this ensure that you select enable on the activation side of the screen. You will then need to select done. Now you are in business! Thanks ffor using Fix Ya.

SOURCE: motorola cable box remote codes
I have a panasonic dvr.. had the same problem. you can't go through the cable box to the dvr, you have to put in a splitter and have the cable feed it directly.

Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. I had this issue with my TV as well. You will need to turn the TV volume up and the cable volume down. The opposite way from how you have it now. This should resolve your issue.
