Question about Whirlpool LGQ9858P Gas Dryer

Whirlpool Clean Touch Model LGL88580000

No lint collects in the top lint collector after five uses. A repairman came and cleaned everything and says it really doesn't matter about the lint collector. I'm skeptical. The dryer works fine. Any solutions?

You can check for suction by pulling out the lint screen and holding a piece of paper over it while the dryer is running. If there is suction then it all works correctly. If there is no suction, then there is a clog somewhere inside. You can clear the clog with a long bottle brush or with an attachment from a vacuum cleaner to get inside. If all looks good and still no lint on the screen, the screen may be too short for the dryer and could be a wrong screen for it.

How do you clean an LG Tromm DLE9577 dryer

Simple cleaning is just the lint collection tray in front and the exhaust port in back. Full cleaning: take top off, take control panel off, take front off, remove drum, vacuum everything, hose out lint tray area. Reassemble.

It sounds as if you have a significant clog in the exhaust... I am very surprised that it is still working; please investigate for a clog in the exhaust line.

Hair/Lint collecting on the Baffles of the dryer

I once heard you can periodically spray "Spray Starch" on the baffles themselves to alleviate lint and hair buildup. If you can prevent the unwanted particles from building up on the baffles theoretically they should be trapped in the dryer's lint collector.

LEAKING INK?

You correct about the collector but you can empty it as well. With the printer unplugged. Move the carriage to the left manually. Here comes the hard part. Glued to the top of the collector is a piece of foam. You'll need to remove this, try not to rip it. Clean out the collector & wash the foam. Let them both dry. Some people use a syringe to pull out most of the ink.
Cotton swads help too. A small screw driver pushing down on a light cloth to pull out the ink. It's not easy, this i promise.
You can use a blow dryer to help dry, just don't melt the parts. Use super glue & replace the foam. Plug in the printer & print a test page out. The next time you need to replace your ink cartridge's make sure there is no build up of ink in the cartridge holder. Use soapy water & a clean cloth to clean it out. After the cartridge holder dries use some alcohol & cotton swab & clean the copper contacts from soap residue in the cartridge holder.
If everything goes well your good! Time for you to start helping at FixYa..

Good Luck & Kind Regards.
Need more help feel free to ask.
