Problem for Rancilio Silvia Espresso Machine
Leaking between base stand and body
I have a Rancilio Silvia about 2 years old. About 10 days ago I did a descale and backflush process, (very little came out) but now it is leaking from the right hand side when facing machine (but only when turned on) from the gap between the base and the body.
I suspect it is the 3 way solenoid valve, but would like some advice before we attempt a repair.
Is this a symptom of solenoid breakdown and is it a self repair job for a handyman husband?

You are correct. There might be something keeping the solenoid from closing. Yes you husband should be able to fix it. Have him clean out the solenoid.
