Maytag washer, lat9606aae only works in delicate cycle and hand washable

Water fills in regular cycle but it does not agitate or spin when it is supposed to. Timer continues to go around but at end of regular cycle the watern is still in there. And it has not agitated or spun the entire cycle. Delicate cycle works the way it should.

Same problem witho our model lat9606aae. It worked for a while when my wife pushed a safety pin under the timer knob, then that stopped working to. It still seems to work on delecate cycle. It seems like the timer module. I'm having trouble figuring out how to get it off, though.

Is there a smell? Maybe the ball bearings are gone.

Roper washing machine does not fill for rinse cycle. Goes directly to rinse agitate without water.

Without Model number I am only guessing but I suspect you have a blocked sensing tube that travels from the Level selector switch to the side of the tub somewhere. It is possible for this plastic tube to become partially clogged and not allow trapped air to vent when tub is drained of water. Usually this problem manifests itself as an overflow of the tub. Check the full length of this clear hose and see if the end nearest the tub looks like it may have debris or dirty detergent clogging it.

This hose is pushed onto a nipple mounted to a reservoir on the side of the tub. Push a thin copper wire 4-5 inches into the those after removing from nipple and also down into the nipple an inch or two before reinstalling the hose to the nipple. You MIGHT even blow into the hose while you have it off and you SHOULD hear a clicking sound coming from the level selector switch body.

Good Luck. Come back with Model number under lid if that doesn't help.

Maytag LAT8426AAM agitator only works in delicate cycle

Best guess is a timer contact problem, usually caused by advancing the timer by hand without pushing the dial in to stop the machine first. This causes burnt contacts.

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Hello I have a Maytag Washer Model A512 The machine goes through a regular cycle OK - However, it DOES drains the water out during the rinse cycle, but does NOT drain the water out during the spin...

The timer will always advance to the next program if the machine does not fully drain. There is ALWAYS a spin when draining the water out, there is only one pump and one motor. The waterlogged laundry maybe telling the timer that there is still water in the tub. Put the machine on "Spin" and cheat the lid switch into thinking that the lid is closed. Use a clothes peg or wide ended screwdriver and see if there really is a spin....
