On TV screen, after the Screen play logo, appear a message of NO DISC (in spanish NO HAY DISCO). While, a low noise comes from the HD each 2-3 seconds... If I choose any option on the remote control, the orange light flashes and then stops lighted, but nothing happens...
When I went bak to the PC conecting the HD by USB, nothing happens...the unit doesn't appears, the pop-up menu to choose what to do doesn.t appears....
I've checked all the connections...
I have less than 30% of space in use...but a lot of pictures of my daughter, and I don,t want to loose them¡¡¡
Any idea??? Thanks in advance¡¡¡

I had the same problem with the Screenplay Pro HD. My Iomega was working fine and one day after exchanging files with a friend I got the logo, then the loading message and then it went into a black screen while the blue light kept blinking.
Obviously the connection to the TV was fine because the logo appeared.
I solved the problem by downloading and reinstalling the firmware.
I downloaded the firmware from the iomega web site.
Notice that during the installation process you get the message that it will delete your data and then shortly after you have the option to delete or keep it. Hang in there. This part is a little nerv wrecking.
Hope this helps.

Your Iomaga Hard Drive is broken. The clicking noise is the heads ggrinding off the palate and this problem can not be fixed. If your player is less then 1 year old it is guarenteed and should be replaced. Otherwise, it the hard drive inside needs to be replaced!

If the blue light continues to flash after the screen goes black, then you need to reinstall the firmware. Look at http://screenplayprohd.wikia.com for information about getting the firmware and installing it.
If the blue light goes solid after the screen goes black then you probably just need to switch the NTSC/PAL selection. Press that button on the front panel several times, waiting a few seconds inbetween in press. If it continues to be invisible, plug the drive into another TV using the composite cables instead of HDMI to confirm if the menu comes up at all. If it does, reinstall the firmware.

I have a Screen Play HD. It was working fine until today when suddenly all my computers can't detect it. I tried a different external disk, it worked fine.

SOURCE: Displays No Disc on TV
Did you fix the problem you had? If so could you tell me what you did? I formatted my Iomega Screenplay HD Mulitmedia Drive (500gb) last night on my mac and now it displays 'no disc' when I hook it up to my tv.
Any help would be grateful.
