Question about Seagate Computers & Internet
I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 EIDE 160 GB. I did not use it in the computer as I didn't know how to adjust the bios. I have purchased a case to make an external drive. The computer does not recognize. Help
If you plug it in and windows states that the device could not be recognized, try plugging it in in one of the USB ports in the back of your case, This worked for me.
If you just can't see your HD in my computer, try these following steps.
Now you should see see the drive in the schematic below, then right click on the drive and assign a new drive letter.
Restart, and all should be set.
If this does not work, have a look at the jumper settings on the drive itself. For this you must take the hard drive out of the case again.
Hope this works. Please rate this.
