Question about Sanyo Cameras

1 Answer

I downloaded pictures and video from my camera to my pc. I was going to do it again and the blue light was blinking. I charged the battery and tried again and nothing, not even a blinking blue light. Is my camera broke or am I not doing something right.

The camera may be jammed after the battery went down.
Try removing battery and SD card from camera to reset the camera. Naturally disconnect camera from USB first.
If camera does not wake up , then it is faulty, maybe in consequence of a short from USB +5V pin.
Often the camera is just jammed and will restart after ejecting battery.

I can't turn on my myvu video glasses when it not charging.

You need to charge the glasses for longer perhaps? I got the Shades 301 pair from my girlfriend who never got around to using them. I have it connected to my comp with a usb cord. The little light on the black box controller started off blinking a purple-ish blue, and now it's blinking orange. I think the blue color must mean battery dead, and the blinking orange i figure means it's taking a charge? I'm going to wait and see if it hopefully turns green! Then i'll find out if they'll work with my ipod touch 2nd gen.

Camera does not respond when turned on or when plugged in to recharge.

I followed the advice of my Fixya adviser--remove the battery for 3 minutes then plug the USB cable into a different port on my computer and plus in the camera. I did that and turned the camera on as advised but the green light still did not blink. The adviser did not respond when I asked what to do next so I disconnected the camera from the computer and plugged it into the charger. This time the first blue light started blinking (nothing happened when I tried it before following the Fixya advice). I left the camera to charge all night and eventually, after about 12 hours, it did.
Seems O.K. now.

Charger red lite flashing. Camera comes on for one second and shuts off

Hello,
Here's a copy from the owners manual:
■ Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Carging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

Another charging error is when the batteries are so depleted, they won't charge up to 100% anymore = red light doesn't go out and remains on for too long, means get a new battery.

Power cord and battery's support NO power to Video Camera

This incident happens often and damages the camcorder's power board. Replacing power board and some adjustment should resolved the problem. Your cost may run from $175-$225 in US for this model. Whenever you are transfering and connecting to pc, it is recommended to connect AC adapter power for this. Do not rely on a charged battery. Good luck.
