Question about Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS Receiver
Hi! I just plugged in the charger for the first time on a new Magellan 4040 and am getting this message:
Read Venus.dat file error.
I have turned it off/on a number of times and have also done the reset a couple times. Still getting the message. What do you suggest?
If you bought this new and your getting that error, i would take it back and get another one or have it sent back to magellan...
if your getting that error, your probably not able to access it via a usb cable to your computer and if the computer cant see it, you cant fix it.. actually, you can fix it, but its a royal pain and i wouldnt recommend telling you how if its under warranty.

Press and hold your power on/off button for 20 seconds. Then restart. That should fix it.
