Question about Eiki LC-XG210 Projector Multimedia Projector

Fan Failure Error

I was receiving a Fan Failure error. I am well out of any warranty period as the unit is nearly 5 years old so I opened her up and found that one of the front two fans was locked up. I pulled the part number off the fan and ordered a replacement. The fan hooks up with +12V, Gnd, and a Sense line. No problem. I replaced the fan and the unit powers up just fine and spins all 3 fans nicely. However, after about 30 seconds the unit shuts down with a Temp light. I then took a table top fan and powered the unit up with this 'added' cooling. Again the unit ran for 30 seconds and shut down with a Temp light. I know the unit is definitely NOT overheating at this point. Does anybody know if the temp sensor goes bad or if there is a cap or resistor that fails? Anything else I should look for?

Oh yeah, my bulb only has about 500 hours on it. My previous bulbs all lasted 2,500+ hours.

The temp sensor probably wore out when the fan did. just replace the sensor. usually located on the lamp housing or near the fans. looks like a transistor.

I have an admiral refigerator (top freezer) less than 3 years old. The unit sat in a vacant house unplugged for about a year and now will not cool. Any suggestions

Good day,
Check in the freezer compartment to see if you can hear the fan motor running. They will freeze up if left off for extended periods of time.
Another fan motor on the bottom back near the compressor can suffer the same fate.
If both check O.K. Then since it's under 5 years you could have a refrigerant leak or a compressor problem that is under factory warranty.
Call your selling dealer for service.
