Hi,

You could try to do a system restore to a date near to purchase. It is normally under start --> accessories --> system tools. Backup all your data before doing a system restore!!

Cheers

Acer travelmate 4202 recovery disc

You can, if available, purchase a Recovery disk from Acer. That said, if you have a Recovery Partition, By rebooting and using the restore/recovery ALT+ F-10 keys. On page 59 : http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/manuals/acer/0000/userguides/TM4200-ENG-OLM_1207.pdf and this may be useful: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=2&modelId=774 IF you are doing a Factory recovery on a XP Machine, I would put on a pot of coffee. I recently did the same, with hundreds of Windows and Computer manufacturer's update it took 36 hours stright. Good Luck.

How to factory rest a acer travelmate 2410

Acer eRecovery stores pre-loaded software internally for easy driver and
application re-installation.
1 Boot to Windows XP.
2 Press <Alt> + <F10> to open the Acer eRecovery utility.
3 Enter the password to proceed. The default password is six zeros.
4 In the Acer eRecovery window, select Recovery actions and click Next.
5 In the Recovery settings window, select Reinstall applications/drivers and
click Next.
6 Select the desired driver/application and follow the instructions on screen
to re-install.
At first launch, Acer eRecovery prepares all the needed software and may take
few seconds to bring up the software content window.

I have an Acer TRAVELMATE 4222 and tried to restore the problem by installing the Microsoft 2003 disc but it tells me that windows 32 is missing. Can I resolve this problem? How does one reformate this...

Hi

i believe it could be in your programs
start
program
acer empowering technologies
acer erecovery management
recovery

then follow onscreen instructions

but please if you have the option save any important items like files or photo,s to
a spare drive or disk before you do this as you will loose all you put on and it will format your drive
and hopefully restore back to factory settings

if you cannot start the laptop correctly
then try to press the power key along with the alt+f10 key i believe this will start the recovery

Hi. My father gave me his Acer laptop 3012WTMi to look at. It had a major virus on it (not sure of name) but he then said I could keep it if I could reset the whole thing to XP. The recovery disc that...

I expect you will need to format the hard drive before you can put the XP disc that you have to use. The reason for that is the XP you have on the notebook is probably SP1/2or 3 and a newer version than the disc you have therefore the system will try and protect itself.
Have fun!

How can i make factory setting for Aspire 5610 without recovery disc and/or with recovery disc

Hi,

You do not have to make factory setting, infact you can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+F10 (try both), it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

Thanks and regards,

Full system restore of Acer TravelMate 2310

If you have th eOperating system disk, you can re-install from scratch - but that will lose your documents - so you should back them up to DVD.

Then install all the drivers you need from the Acer site found here,

If this helped you then please help me and vote kindly, thank you.
