the laptop will not boot up at all, no screen, no fan, nothing. Removed the battery and tried booting up with just the power cord. Nothing. The on light is on, but nothing is working. Any information would be great, thank you ever so much for your time.

My HP dv4030us started by having the cursor freeze, then very slow boot, finally nothing. Try to power up the computer and the power light starts, the DVD/CD drive spins, the hdd light comes on for 30-40 seconds (solid, no flashing), no beeps, screen is black, hdd light goes out and to turn off the power you need to hold the power button down for 5+ seconds

Whenever I start the computer it locks up (not always at the same spot). Sometimes I will get as far as my desktop but as soon as I move the mouse it is done. I have had problems in the past with the screen periodically going blank and having to restart. Could this be my motherboard?

Nope a bad battery will not keep a machine from booting..

Does it shut off or do you get an error or does nothing come up when you turn it on???

LENOVO THINKPAD X220 TABLET FAILS TO TURN ON NORMALLY. WHEN THE CHARGER IS PLUGED IN THE WIRELESS AND BLUETOOTH LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF.

That is a risky move to have that required to start the computer. There is a circuit in the battery module that tells the computer if the battery is healthy enough to boot the computer. When the battery is removed or goes bad, the computer wont boot. Do the right thing and get a new battery.

Car will not start

this doesn't sound good at all. if you couldn't jump start it within a few minutes, you should have stopped right there. maybe you were jumpping the car wrong, from doing so, you may have fried the computer, that rounds your entire engine. try installing a new battery, if any codes were stored in the computer, clear them out. some times just removing the battery cables for a few minutes will do this . sometimes not. try to start the engine. donot jump start, see if will start on its own. if not, seek professional help, keep blaming goodyear until you get results !!!!!!

Computer is now completely dead. WHen power supply pluged it, blue LEDs indicate it's getting power and battery being charged. But on/off switch has no effect, button puch won't open CD drawer, etc. --...

"Battery being charged" indicates that this is a laptop. Auto shutting down indicates that you are having issues with the power supply/brick. One thing to try is another known good power brick. Otherwise it is likely your power inverter inside the laptop.

Computer wont boot up

Take the battery out and try to boot the computer up with the external power supply.. If this works the the battery is shorted. If it doesn't then you will need to try another power supply, if that doesn't work then something internal has shorted in laptop

When i shut down the com. my zen wont start up anymore

When you let the battery totally run down on these, it has to sit and charge, looking quite dead, for a little while before it has enough of a charge to boot-up again.

My battery went dead this morning i charged it this evening and it is just showing a battery and timer wont switch on or charge??

from what I hear, you have either fully charged your battery or your battery is pretty much completely dead.

your options:

1. If it's completely dead and won't hold a charge it's time to purchase another battery, this happens from time to time so don't freak out about it.
2. If it's fully charged, try taking the battery completely out of the phone, and re-inserting it after a few minutes, sometimes cell phones need to be reset.
3. ensure that your charger is working properly, if its not getting juice to it neither is your phone.
4. try to dial your number just to see what happens to the phone.
5. if someone else u know has a charger like yours try to borrow theirs to charge your phone possibly ruling out a bad charger

It's dead. Throw it out and buy an i-pod. My e280 did the
same thing. One day: fine, the next day: Blue Ring of Death.
I have tried everything on the internet, even downloaded Ubuntu and typed in all the e200tool Nuclearscriping BOARDSUPPORTSD and Manufacturing Mode commands. Nothing. It's dead 2months out of warranty. Piece of %$#@!!

Computer wont start

Nothing is booting ......when in earnest I say that is the BIOS screen at the beginning not going too. When you say the lights all go but the computer does not BOOT can you clarify please what goes. Now you say the processor fan does not work I imagine you are INSIDE the unit to know this try pushing down on the CPU firmly with your hands it may have dislodged slightly it can do this sometimes.....Ive seen it happen. Now for the not booting I need to know what is if any?.
