If your lens has an aperture ring, do note that most of these lenses require the ring to be locked at a certain position for it to work. In the course of using the lens, you may have accidentally unlocked the aperture ring and moved it out of position. This is a common problem.

To fix this error, try this:

1. Turn off camera
2. Turn the aperture ring clockwise and then lock it
3. Turn on the camera

If you still encounter the same problem, repeat the same steps but turn the aperture ring counter-clockwise. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a Nikon D80 with 18-135 Nikkor lens.

Check which version of firmware is installed in the camera. Go to Nikon web sit and download the latest version available. This may resolve your issue.

ERR sign

This sound like your auto flash is not popping up allot of the time this will give you a err message and cause a slow reauction to taking pictures causing them eather to be blurry or very dark some times. is your flash working? if it is then it could be you lens try a diffrent lens if you do not have another lens then go to a camera shop allot of times they will let you try out lenses to try to get you to buy one.

Err 05

In my case, I borrowed a camera and when I got it back, err 05 appears. I've located a bit of old orange juice which sticked one of the sensors - you can see the sensors when flash is popped out.

Nikon D100 randomly has "err" code flashing

You need a new shutter box.
It may be worth cleaning the contacts on both camera and lens.
Clean the contacts in the lens mount using a fiberglass "pencil" designed specifically for cleaning contacts. These are available at just about any photo supply store/firm.

send it to nikon. seem like a common problem

Stand by button flashes but receiver wont turn on

I have vsx-d812 that has an AMP ERR in error menu. the troubleshooting was found to be Q696 and Q697 in the DC prot. area on "C" board, up near front toward diplay in center of c board. You can get access to error codes on VSX pioneer unit by pressing "enter" and "adv. surr." simultaneously for 2 sec. The display should show what error code you are experiencing. I believe there are three diff. error codes. 1) AMP ERR 2) OVERLOAD 3) BOAD ERR (not mistyped) I hope this helps pinpoint error code for ya.
