Washer from flashing 1E & leaking

LG Washing Machine Displaying Fault Code IE or 1E WM2016CW WATER INLET ERROR // Water not entering washing machine correctly
The manufacturer has assigned this error or fault code to indicate that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve.

My Whirlpool Duet front load washing machine is showing a F/H code. The manual says to check the hoses for kink/leaks etc. we have done that and there arent any. The machine still shows F/H what would be...

Hi

Error code FH appears when No water is detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip is not detected. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If there is no water entering the unit then make sure that the inlet valves are working fine. You may need to check the continuity at the inlet valves. If the valves are fine then check whether inlet water hoses as they might be plugged. Also check for inlet water screen at the valve. However, if the water is entering into the washer then the Drain pump might not be working. Also inspect the Pressure Switch hose whether it is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch. Also check hoses for leak and inspect the flow meter. Hope this helps...

Unit will not drain. It will fill with water in normal manner. Circulating pump also works normally. Float switch seems to be sound. But the wash water is not expelled as it ought to be.

Something simple to check is the drain hose. I am an installer and have seen this many times and people will buy a new dishwasher after putting in a new garbage disposal. If you did, did you remove the knock out plug from the disposal? Next, remove the drain hose end from under the sink and try sucking the water out with a wet/dry vac. All the water from the dishwasher should easily be sucked out from any dishwasher except a GE brand. If not, your drain hose is clogged.

Hi! We just installed our LG LDF8812WW built in dishwasher. We ran our first cycle and after the wash cycle the dishwasher displayed error code OE. I read that it meant there is a problem with the...

I actually own an LG LDF8812 myself, except mine is stainless steel, not white. So be it. :-)
Anyway, it sounds like you have just unboxed the unit and it is brand new, not just new to you. I am also assuming that you have this dishwasher connected to an Air Gap valve which is connected to the garbage disposal. Please reply if I am wrong.
Because it is (apparently) new, the first thing I would check is that any water is draining from the unit. A common problem on new installations is that the knockout inside the neck of the garbage disposal unit. A quick way to test that is begin the dishwasher filling, then open the door and press the two buttons that give you Cancel. Hold for three seconds and the DW will begin to drain. Being careful of the hot water that should be draining into the kitchen sink via the disposal, but watch for water to come flowing with a healthy stream - not wimpy.
Please reply with what you have found and correct my assumptions that I got wrong. Good Luck!
OH, if the problem is not something at the end of the drain hose, before you try to crack the unit open (and possibly void your waranty) dial the number on in the user guide and schedule a service call asap. Have your proof of purchase available.

IE input error on LG dishwasher Model LDF6810ST

Chris;
The float you speak of is located behind the left side panel. (be careful if you remove the panel, the back edge is real sharp,.... I left a pint of blood at one house !) Water enters the dishwasher fill assembly and turns a paddle wheel, which allows the control to count the revolutions, determining the amount of water filling into the dishwasher. The float is inside a chamber in front of (and attached to) that water guide and it has two micro switches at the top of the float chamber. If I recall correctly, the float is only for overfill protection, as the paddle wheel determines water amount. You should check the screen at the water valve to make sure nothing is obstructing inlet valve water flow. Also, make sure you are not using a "flood safe" inlet hose, which are designed to shut off water if a hose breaks (but can cause water supply issues). You may have a bad control board or wiring connection. On a new unit I would suggest calling for warranty service.
Please don't rate this solution, as anything but a FixYa will lower my score.
Thanks, Carl.

Hot water not entering washer, not a hose or solenoid problem...

Before ordering a new control board, check the wiring harness to make sure there are no breaks in the wire from the water valve to the board.  If everything checks out, replace the board.  The board is not that hard to replace and all the wire connectors are not confusing.

Water is not completely draining

Did you take out the "knock out" plug, off the new sink disposal, before you hooked the drain hose from the dishwasher to it?

You do not have an "OE" error, you have a "DE" error. DE error is "drain error" which displays if the washer has not pumped out after 10 minutes. If there is water in the machine and no obstruction in the filter I would suspect that the pump impeller is bad, and you would need a new pump motor. (part # 4681EA2001D) Pump motor is located directly to the left of the filter, and can be accessed by tilting the washer back and reaching it from underneath. The pump housing is held onto the machine by three phillips head screws.

If you have "DE" error and there is no water in the machine that's a whole different problem I'll address if you say that's the case.

If you need good service, try calling a small dealer who sells and services the procuct line you are having a problem with. You can find LG servicers at us.lgservice.com but avoid the utility companies, A & E, Sears, and all the big guys who try to service every brand but often times are not very familiar with your brand.

That should help. Carl S., factory authorized LG technician for over 10 years.
