White Lines Across ipod Screen

One morning I unplugged my iPod Nano Generation 4 from my iHome. When I looked at the screen, there were about 10 horizontal white/redish lines running across the screen that resemble a bar code. It has been two days since then and there seems to be more and more white lines appearing at the top area of the screen!! If this continues, eventually my whole screen will go white!

SOURCE: i have a 120 gig classic ipod, and i have 3 white

It is probably a short in the connector inside the unit going from the screen to the circuit board. You can replace the screen yourself, just have to do some google searching. Also, if you wanted to connect your Ipod to a TV, you can plug an RCA cable into the sound port. You have to have the cable that has three prongs on one end (yellow for video, red & white for sound), the other end of this cable is a 3.5" (headphone) audio plug. Classic iPods export video data from the sound headphone jack!

SOURCE: Horizontal lines have appeared on the screen?

Its either because you dropped it some where or its because u charged it with some other charger other than the specified one. There are 2 solutions for it one is leave the ipod unused/untouched without any charge in it for 4 to 5 days. If u still get the line appearing on the 6th day then the only solution is to get it opened n try alligning the screen else replace the screen.

Thankyou

Resync it to iTunes. You may need to reset it to defaults and then resync it, but resync usually works.

Hi there,

You may need to reset your ipod using the following steps:

1. Slide the "Hold" switch to "hold" and then turn it off again.

2. Press and hold the Menu and Select or Center buttons for like 8-10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

That's it! Please let me know how this goes. Thanks for using FixYa.

Problem with ihome and ipod nano.

yes, unfortunately the ihome iH9 is not compatible with previous models of the ipod nano.

if you want a similar device, there are many other docking stations for the ipod that are ip0 that ARE compatible with the ipod nano 2G

iH85B is another ihome dock which is compatible with all ipods after the ipod mini (including the ipod nano 2G)

The first question I'm not sure. Is that the wireless network system that works with the wall outlets for power and networking?

The answer to the second question is No. You can only transfer playlists from ITunes into the IPod. Make sure your playlists are created in ITues before transferring.
