Question about Lexmark P6250 All-In-One InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

When I print pictures, there is a red and green line across them

I assume the printer needs to be cleaned? If that's correct, can I do it somehow?

Open the Lexmark Solution Center (shortcut should be in the Start Menu under Lexmark 6200 Series).
Click on the Maintenance tab.
Click on Clean to fix horizontal streaks.

If this doesn't help, you can try gently cleaning the nozzles manually using a cotton ball dipped in a little rubbing alcohol, then dry with a clean cloth. A little ink may come out when you do this and that's OK.

Hp 5550n show "card slot

I'll assume it's a media card slot-if so try putting a small amount of either denatured rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on the media cards contacts itself-this may momentarily allow the card to be read. The purpose of this is it will tell you that the contacts inside have somehow become slightly contaminated with something and needs to be cleaned. hope this was helpful Prodzilla

My Dell 1700 prints half the sheet, then stops

I have the same problem. Open the back cover of the printer and in the centre of the rollers to feed the paper out there is a paper sensor (a lever assembly attached to a switch) that lets the printer know when the paper has 'arrived' at that point in the printing process and also when it 'leaves' that part of the printer. On my printer the top of the lever has somehow snapped off so the lever/switch isn't being activated when the paper arrives at that point and the printer assumes there is a jam somewhere. I have removed the lever and glued a small piece of plastic to it to replace the piece that's broken off. It's a fiddly repair and I've had to re-do it a couple of times. I need to find a replacement assembly but part seem to be hard to come by and I don't know the part number to do an internet search.

Lots of smoke

When you rebuilt it, I would assume that you replaced the piston rings. Were they installed correctly? Assuming they were, were the valves cleaned and the valve seals replaced? You obviously are getting oil into the cylinder(s) somehow, and these are usually the main culprits. Unless the head gasket has developed a leak.

Are you getting an error code or message when you try to print that the ink pads need to be cleaned again?

I just need this feedback to point you in the right direction and not just assume any thing. Thanks, and thanks for using FixYa. I'm here to help.

Error message Incorrect printer cartridge (but it is correct )How do i correct this error

I've never encountered a problem like yours on the HP78 cartridge or even the HP15. Have you tried cleaning the cartridge as well as the printer pin? The only time we had this problem with one of our customers, we cleaned the cartridge and the printer pins and the problem was gone. Let me know if this helps.

HP OfficeJet V40 Won't Print

You Need to change the Ink Carttridge. it has either Dried from lack of use or you have run ou tof ink.

you may need to clean the Jets as well a simple Q-tip with some rubing alchol would work.

You could also try the Printers Cleaning Utility, but either way you'll need to replace the cartridges

Microsoft Windows Vista and Compaq A3000

Onmly Compaq will have the approprive driver download. You are correct to assume a Vista compatability issue- this is becoming more evirdent with many peripherals. By the bye- the printer is of course a rebadged Lexmark or HP or Brother [ can be either] see if you can see which and check the appropriate web site. This site may also be of assistance
