Well the factory set would be the best match, however if you lookin to upgrade for better sound you can use some aftermarkets. The most important thing you need to check is how many ohms the speakers are, the new ones need to match exactly, car speakers are 4ohms home are normaly 8ohmes, I am not sure if on this modle they went outside the standard so check the lable and if needed check with a meter. Getting it wrong will blow the amp in the stereo after time.

How to restore sound on my iPad

Try to reset the phone. If it doesn't work, check all the sound settings and the sound button on side. If all of those don't work, try factory restore. If it still doesn't work, make reservation for Apple Store Guinness bar.

Wired remote

The cost is more that the entire set, so I suggest you go to Tiger Direct on the internet, look at Refurbished speaker systems and get a good deal that way. Refurbished goods are the way to go and 99 percent are factory new anyhow.

I purchased pioneer speakers and am attempting to replace my stock speakers. Problem is there is already a plug and outlet on the factory speakers, which there is not on the new speakers. is this called ?...

yes they are called speaker harness adapters. You can just cut the factory ones off if you know the polarity (positive/negative) of the speaker wiring.
An easy way to find out is take a 9v or AA battery and two pieces of wire. Strip the wire and attatch one piece to the positive and another to the negative of your test battery, I use red wire for (+) and black for (-). Then take the other ends and touch the factory speaker connector (where it plugs onto the speaker). If it moves out or UP then you have the polarity correct and the wire that your red tester went to is the positive of the new speaker and the black test lead wire touched the negative. If the speaker moves in or DOWN then you simply have it reversed.
All pioneer speakers come with a set of wires so you can cut the factory connector off and put the new one on.

I NEED NEW SPEAKERS FOR MY FRONT DOORS IN MY HONDA CIVIC COUPE 1997 BUT DONT KNOW WHAT SIZE TO BUY?

Not sure if you had a sedan, hatch, or coupe but here is the info you requested. Front door speakers measure 6.5" with a top depth of 1.75" (you have no depth problems here but any larger than 1.75 and you might have to cut out the factory housing.)

If they are door or kick panel speakers, you have to remove that panel to extract the speakers. Then measure them with a ruler; better yet, make a pencil outline of them (outside rim) and also where the mounting holes are. Then, when you buy new speakers say at Best Buy or some such, you will get the proper size, mounting and DEPTH. Unless you want to build all new mounting enclosures, you have to be sure of all the size measurements so that your new speakers will fit.

Wiring them is easy. There should be instructions. Speaker wires do have a + and - side, and if you cross them, the speakers will work but won't sound as good. Also be sure you have the POWER to drive your new speakers. Buy speakers of the same "impedence", measured in ohms right on your speakers.

Also, in here you can find the 1997 Honda Civic Service Manual.

Easy job, good luck (remember rated this help).

I ha dsome one install new radio in my truck and

I am sorry to have to say this, but what you need is to find someone who knows what they are doing to fix the wiring that the original installers messed up. There could be crossed wires, bad grounds, poor connections, etc. Under the worst case scenario, this could cause a fire.

Replacing factory speakers in a 2-door 97 Cavalier

Just make sure they are the same size as your stock speakers and they should just fit right in no customizing needed. For a 1997 Cavalier it's 4X6 in the front and 6X9 in the rear. Shouldn't be too hard just a couple screws and hooking up the existing wire to your new speakers.

Radio wiring

yes, you'll need to purchase a "line level converter" to change the speaker connections to RCA connections. Or buy an amp that accepts speaker level inputs and extend the wires to the amp. If you have Bose system (says "Bose" on speakers), this will be different since you already have a factory amp
