A couple things may be preventing the cd from ejecting. The tracks for the door may be dirty, or the belt inside may be slipping. The only real solution is to take it apart and eject a cd watching the gears and the belt to see what is preventing the cd from comming out all the way. It may be best to take it to a service center if you are not comfortable with this type of repair. If it is a belt or slipping gear, it will not be more than a $25.00 repair on average. That is what we would charge in our shop. I hope this helps.

Eject dell e6420

Eject what a Cd or DvD? If you can't get it to eject by pressing the eject on the drawer, try opening My Computer, then right click on the CD/DvD drive and select Eject. If it still does not eject you will need to straighten out a paper clip, get on your knees and look for a tiny hole on the cd drawer. Stick the paper clip into that tiny hole and push the drawer open.

Where is the eject button located exactly? i have a second hand dell studio one touch and im not sure if there is a disk or something blocking the cd drive as i can not put a disk in and i dont know where...

A lot of Desktops and Laptops have an eject facillity within "My Computer" if you are Windows OS.
Go to My Computer and Right click in the CD/DVD rom, select eject.
Otherwise there is a tiny hole on the front panel, next to the eject button. That will accept a straightned out paper clip and will push the mechanics to manually eject a disc.
Hope this helps.

Dell inspiron 1545 cd drive won't open when I hit eject, and then the laptop freezes

try using a pin small enough to fit into the tiny hole right beside your eject button, if there is a disc inside, this will help remove it and probably fix the fact that the drive is not opening. If not, you might want to completely remove it and check to see that your entire eject mechanism is working fine...
I hope this was informative enough

Cannot eject cd.

I assume you have tried the usual method of ejecting by pressing eject on tray. If this fails get a large paper clip (or similar) and straighten it out. Make sure machine is switched on, insert paper clip into tiny hole on cd tray near eject button and push into hole. This should open tray. That is the purpose of this tiny hole. Hope this helps!

CDs get scratched when instered/ejected in the players

Sounds like something inside the deck is out of place, and is scratching the cd. Please bring your decks to an authorized service center to be checked out.

Jensen vm9311ts problem

The player thiinks the CD is still in the player. you have a shorted or open sensor. Usually thee players have 3 phto sensors to tell the controller that a Disc is inserted , or ejected or present. Sometimes a wire or piece of lint covers a sensor and makes the controller think the CD is still there. Get you a can of Air from Radio Shack and blow out the DVD drive You might get lucky and this do the job.

CD will not eject

on the front panel, look for a tiny pinhole and insert a pin while powered up to reset the device, however it is possible your eject switch is inoperative now for some reason. if reset no-go, the disassemble the front panel, find the eject switch and clean the contact pads with alcohol swab
