Make sure the extensions are enabled - often they are not by default!

Make sure you are entering the correct information for uploading (publishing) your site - is it HTTP or FTP the server accepts? What uname and password should be used - your login details or the FTP server details?

This should help you

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I had a similar experience. Perhaps this advice (from my Web Hosting provider thinkhost.com will help (However I was using FP 2003):

You can publish your web site from a copy on your own computer to your hosting account , or you can edit your web page directly on our server making the changes instantly available without having to publish.

To publish from your computer to our server:

* Open the copy of the web site you have on your computer

* Go to "File" then "Publish Web" on the FrontPage menu

* Type in the web address of your server based site http://www.fixya.com (whatever yours is ...)

* Click "Publish"

You will be then prompted for your hosting username and the password you assigned when installing Frontpage extensions.

To work on the live version of your site, open the web by going to File --> Open Web menu, and then typing in the web address for your site.

In this scenario, when you create or edit a file, you're editing it directly on the server, and therefore do not need to upload it, as it will already be there. Exercise caution, because if you make a mistake there really is no way to fix it, as the changes are instantly made on the server.

When using this method, we suggest you make a backup copy of your files in case a problem develops. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups.

Special note:

We strongly recommend not using FrontPage's FTP feature for uploading - all publishing should be via the http:// publishing option. The reason for this is that we've noticed many clients who are not familiar with the FrontPage FTP feature tend to accidentally delete critical folders or upload to the wrong folders. Using the http:// publishing option ensures that your site will be uploaded to the right folder in your account.

If you need to use FTP, we recommend using a dedicated FTP program - some of them are listed here.

In frontpage has an x where the picture should be when viewed on the internet

You have to have the picture in the same place. If's a web page it has to be on the web pager server. If you want it to appear in front page it has to be on your computer and then uploaded along with the page you are publishing. It must be a legal picture or front page will not publish it.

Can't Import Site

Here's what I do: Since Front Page isn't really supported by Microsoft any more, I use it to do page edits on my computer.
I use ftp to get the page and edit it and then ftp it back.
If you do this each time you edit, it won't matter what computer you use.
You get only the pages you wish to edit this way--you don't have to wait until the whole site is imported.
This also makes it unnecessary to use front page extensions on the server. Much cleaner.
For ftp, I use filezilla--works really well. Get it here:

Looking for frontpage 2003

You'll have to purchase the software or find someone who has a disk locally. You'll still need your product key, though.

Serif Software's WebPlus is a free web publishing application that may be worth looking into as well.

Microsoft front page

hi,
to be straight Microsoft Frontpage and Office 2003 is not the same. They do differ.
*. Microsoft frontpage is a web site building application. It is also called a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor. Using this you can build your own website and publish it in internet. It is fully loaded and various website solely use this a web-code generator. check this site for instance www.assammedicalcollege.org made with frontpage.
*. Microsoft office 2003 on the other hand comprises of a number of CDs'.
--In the 1st CD you have Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, Microsoft powerpoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft outlook etc.
--- in the 2nd Cd you have Microsoft Frontpage.
-- In the 3rd you have Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL probably.

Generally people install the 1st Cd with word, excel, powerpoint and access.

Hope it helps.
would be glad if this information is rated helpful.

regards
bzoy...
