Some brands cannot be used by some cameras. You should stick with the big brand names like Sandisk.

This camera needs Comact Flash, not SD. Kingston is a big brand, #2 in marketshare behind SanDisk so you have a good product, it's just not the technology you need. Here's a link with all the information for your camera:

Is there an up-date which will allow dimage Z6 to use a 4 GB storage card please. My camaera will only recognise up to 2GB SD card.

Sorry, no. SD cards max out at 2GB. Larger SDHC cards are electronically incompatible and will only work in devices specifically designed to accept them. It's a hardware incompatibility and no amount of firmware changes will make a SD device accept SDHC cards.

The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 will not read the 8 GB card

The Z6 uses MMC and SD cards. If you look carefully at your 8GB card, you'll see that it's an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. The Z6 is limited to cards 2GB and smaller.

8 Gb SD card not recognized by Minolta DiMage Z6 digital camera. What is maximum size SD card this camera can address?

The Z6 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Minolta Z6 SDHC memory limits? Only a 2gb standard SD seems to work. Any input?

The Z6 works with SD and MMC cards. It does not work with SDHC cards at all, whatever their size. SD cards are limited to 2GB in size.

I have a Kodak Z740 dig camera. Ive just bought a 4gb dane-elec sd HC chip but when I get the screen format I klick continue but the session stops. Any ideas or is the HC chip not compatible with this...

According to the manual the Z740 uses SD and MMC cards. That means that SDHC cards such as your 4GB card will not work with this camera. You are limited to SD cards up to 2GB in size.

Unable to use card

Firstly, what size memory hard do you have? Is it an SDHC? Secondly, have you checked that the memory card isn't locked (there is a switch on the side of it). Has it worked with other memory cards?

Hi, my dane-elec showing write protected. How can I solve it? I tried http://www.fixya.com/support/t345484-format_write_protect_usb_drive file but did not work. Need help. Thanks, Zia

Click > Start > Run > type "CMD" Then
Type "CHKDSK" and type the letter of your SD drive and "/F".
chkdsk Q: /F > press Enter

another example:
chkdsk D: /f
chkdsk E: /f
D or E is the letter or your SD drive.
