next time you take the lint filter out to clean it, take it to the sink and pour some water onto it. Some filters, even from new, can have an oily substance on them that can block the mesh. If the water does sit on the mesh, you need to wash it with warm, soapy water to clean it. This allows the air to travel through it more freely and dry more efficiently. If the hot air builds up inside the unit, there is probably some sort of thermal overload detector that will shut the gas off

I have a stackable washer and dryer the washer works but the dryer when I turn it on it starts and the drum starts to role then it cuts off and I can smell a burning smell I am so tired of washing clothes...

a number of things but first unhook the electricity and take the back off the dryer look for burnt wires ect... it can be plugged with trash lent ect clean out the dryer including the blower wheel housing follow the vent to the housing that is it. Also the next biggest culprit is the elect motor its self if its bad you can order one from the company that made it or a number of companys on line(they will be cheaper) good luck and replace your belt while you are in there.

Dryer wont start

Hello. i can help you. begin by checking the power.

Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

If that doesnt get it working again get back as there are other things that could have gone wrong.

Hello Chritena,
Based on your description.. I'll throw some ideas at you for you to try.. Not sure if you have an electric or gas dryer but that shouldn't make a difference .. Try unhooking the exhaust for a few minutes and start the dryer.. If it is a gas dryer.. do this with plenty of ventolation since the byproduct of gas combustion is unhealthy.. If it is electric.,.it isn't healthy but it isn't bad either.. let the dryer run until you feel good hot air flowing out.. If the flow is weak then chances are you have either a blower problem or restriction in the blower system inside the dryer,, If you get good hot air flow, then you probably have a restriction in your ductwork or the outside vent cap itself.. These are the main areas to check.. let me know the outcome of these checks and if they fail to resolve the problem.. will dig a little deeper.. Next time, please provide the model number too.. it helps focus in on the specific details...

Dryer just quit

I would check to see if you have 220v to back of dryer where the cord mounts to dryer Check the door switch, , Take back off dryer There is a fuse in the back its white oblong 2 wires coming from it, left side on blower outlet ..be carefull hook the 2 wires togather and if it comes on the fuse is bad needs replacing same way with the door switch.
