Ok, I will try my best. First, make sure power is off to the pump. Then, remove the six bolts and nuts on the front (wet) end of the pump and expose the impeller. On the back of the motor, you will need to remove the small dust cap in the center. Underneath that dust cap should be the shaft that is slotted. You will need a large screwdriver to hold it from turning as you remove the impeller by turning it counter-clockwise. Once the impeller is off, remove the four bolts holding the seal-plate onto the motor. Once you have the seal plate off, press the old seal out by pushing from behind with a flat tip screwdriver. Once the (ceramic part) seal is out, clean the area where the seal seats very thoroughly and apply some silicone lubricant or even Vaseline to for a nice uniform coat to the area, don't leave any of it dry but don't glob it on either. Next, pull the carbon/spring part of the seal off of the impeller by twisting pulling it at the same time. Make sure all of the seal comes off including the rubber washer/o-ring. Apply a very small amount of lube to the impeller shaft where the new seal will go. Install the new seal onto the impeller, be careful not to touch the carbon face of the seal if you can help it. Slide the seal all the way onto the shaft until it bottoms out. Next, install the ceramic part of the seal into the seal plate, be careful not to touch the ceramic surface. Press it into place using some paper of cardboard from the box the new seal came in. Make sure it seats all the way down, inspect it from the back to make sure the seal is completely seated. Install the seal plate back on and torque the four bolts onto the motor. Thread the impeller onto the shaft until it bottoms out, hold the shaft and tighten the impeller lightly, no need to crank on it, snug is good. Check and lube all your o-rings and install the wet end back onto the seal plate. Reinstall the motor shaft dust cover and you should be back in business. Be sure to fill the pump with water before turning it on. You can usually do this by starting your filter pump first.

1992 f150 front axle to diff. seal replacement

OK, you must remove the front axle assembly to access the axle flange and then the seal, follow the instructions at the link but once the axle is out remove the axle flange from the front diff and replace the axle seal, use a seal driver and lube the new seal with lithium grease (white grease). You will need an air impact to get the flange nut off, replace it with a new one (do not reuse) and do not over tighten it. Cinch it down and then go about 1/8 more of full nut rotation to preload carrier bearing setting then spike in place. Ford F150 Front Axle Replacement Part 1

Black marks appearing on towels. Look like marker, smudged.

it could be the seal on the front of the drum starting to break down.
clean the seal at the front of the drum that seals the door. then rub a white cloth/towel around the seal

if there are any marks left by the seal then the rubber compouds are starting to break down and the seal needs to be replaced.

please feel free to ask for detailed instructions on changing this seal if you need them

PS-1000 Seal

The seal replacement on most pumps requires the capacity to separate the motor from the pump and to dismantle the wet end. Upon dismantling, it will become clear as to where the seal components are to be replaced. The spring half is found in the seal plate and must be knocked out and reinstalled with a properly sized driver and the ceramic seat is attached to impeller. Be careful not to damage the polished surfaces of seal. A light coating of a silicone or teflon based lubricant is most helpful ..

I need instruction & schematic to replace rear axle bearings & seals on a 1986 4runner sr5

Good news mate! You don't have to touch the bearings at all !!! Just replace the seals, highly unlikely the bearings are toast, had the very same problem and advice from local repairer but another (honest) mechanic suggested to change the seals only and it worked.Remove old seals using a large flat bladed screwdriver taking EXTREME CARE not to scratch the housing, tricky bit is to replace the seals as they have to go in SQUARE to the housing, use a large socket if available or a flat piece of steel to rest against the seal and hammer in SLOWLY AND CAREFUL, ALWAYS SQUARE ! to the housing, take your time and do it a bit at a time, the further in you go the easier it gets, make a note of the final position of the old seal before removal, do a sketch or take a photograph, also take care when reinserting the prop shaft back in the axle housing not to damage the new seal. Good luck !!!
