Hello, recently I purchased one kingston

Hello, recently I purchased one kingston pendrive of 64GB. I verified its capacity at the shop itself on computer. later when i copied some files on pendrive. it start showing the files on the pendrive. However if I remove the pendrive and again connect it with computer, every thing simply disappears. The pendrive remains empty and showing full available capacity. I could not understand the reason.

Memory cards reader usually doesn't require drivers.
There's 2 possibilities here :
1. Your card reader is faulty. Try another card reader. 2. Your card itself is faulty. If it's still under warranty, try contacting Kingston.
Hope this helps.

Hi there,

your pendrive might have been burned due to a surge.. I have experienced this but the problem was the USB drive itself, the technician who assembled the desktop interchanged the USB connections making it very destructive to plug in any USB device.

Kingston usually has warranty. Have it replaced on the nearest service center or at the very least have it repaired. I wouldnt recommend you opening it unless you wanted to see the real cause. If it smells burnt then chances are your data is lost or the thumbdrive wouldnt work.

If it can no longer be detected in any system and your warranty is out and if you're desperate to have it fixed, you can bring it to any cellular repair shop, have them open it and check for burns.. Hope they have a means of retrieving it.

Hope this provides any help,

You will be provided with a free software Kingston secure traveller. In that, you can divide the pendrive into two partitions. One will be public and the other will be password protected.
You can get the software from the link given below.

Amazing Pendrive problem

when its loaded into the memory card slot or however you have it attached to your computer right click on the assigned driver letter --> properties --> tools --> scan disk or check disk and see if it comes up with any issues

Also if this is a new memory card get a replacement that or if its too old then buy a new one
