There was no problem with the first 15 or so.,,. but now when I try to get a photo from My Picture file it is soo slow. I can pull up My Picture file ok.. but when I click on one that I want to use.. it opens in the Picture It program sooooo sloooow. It takes almost 3 minutes to open. And everything i want to do to it is slow. I dont understand why the program works great with a little amount of photos but when i use alot of photos for a project it slows down. HELP.. Re: stacking multiple photos

It could be that your RAM is completely being used in doing this project.
Try closing all other open programs, including anti-spyware and anti-virus, AFTER disconnecting from the internet.
You perhaps could also purchase more RAM memory.

The Picture It will not work unless it was designed (programed) to work with VISTA. So just un-install it from the Vista machine.

Hi - When I try to create my collage Picasa not responding pops up. Any suggestions? I have tried countless times to fix this and my Christmas collage is not going to be able to get in time for Christ

My guess is that your computer's RAM is not large enough to handle completion of the file... because those collages ARE large. First, close all other programs on your machine before working on it. If that doesn't help, try making a smaller final size, and/or using copies of the photos that are reduced in size. You can make smaller copies by exporting them reduced to about a thousand pixels. Picasa has a function to do this, it sends the pics to new folder. Good luck!

I created a collage in Shape Collage and saved it as a psd and opened it in Gimp. I can actually choose a photo and move it around but I cannot choose a photo when I just want to rotate it. What am I...

Hi phib577,

You mentioned that you created a collage in Shape Collage and opened it in Gimp, yes you can choose a picture but cannot rotate anymore since the Shape Collage has already formatted the picture as part of the Collage and if Rotated then most likely it will not rotate.

If you want that picture rotated then you will need to use Shape Collage again to be able to edit and rotate the picture that you need to rotate.

I hope that this helps.

Thank you for choosing Fixya,

Microsoft photo & Print studio 2002 will not print cards

This software is no longer supported by Microsoft. It doesn't work with Vista and It won't work with Windows XP once the service packs are installed. The product was discontinued in 2004. You can see for yourself by going to and select Picture It for details.

Installed on Vista

Picture It 2002 is designed to be used with Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Microsoft Windows 2000, or Microsoft Windows XP, therefore I'd suggest to run your Picture It 2002 using Compatinity Mode --> Right click on the program icon--> properties-->Compatibility--> select one of the versions above
