The high limit and low limit are set in the configuration part of the thermostat. you can find out how to get into it with your installation manual, NOT THE OWNERS MANUAL. Or in order to help, someone will need the model # of the stat, because every one is different.

We have pro2000 set at 70.the temp goes to 64 or below before it turns on.what do I need to do?

Try resetting your thermostat and checking all time and temp settings in your programming. I have found that usually it's the thermostat programming that defaults back to a certain temp after a certain time period. Here is a link to the installation instructions to help your further.

Furnace blowing cold air after replacing limit switch

Limit switches are safeties and require a manual reset. They are also a Normally Closed contact. A hi temp. thermostat operates on its own. If you are sure it is a limit, find the red little button and listen for it to click. Sometimes they push pretty hard.

My keating fryer heats the oil fine to temp set on thermostat but will not re fire when oil temp drops unless I push the high limit button. Don't know if the problem is the themostat or high limit...

Sounds like the thermostat is working because it does heat to the right temperature, right? The high limit switch is to shut it down when it gets too hot, so why that helps the unit relight and heat up is strange? Is this gas or electric? Since hitting the reset or high limit button is what is working, I would start there, and replace that... I don't think either part is super expensive, so replacing both wouldn't be too expensive, especially since you have one of the best fryers ever made... Keating is number one in my book, and I know they are expensive to start with, but these two parts shouldn't be much....however I would start with the high limit switch or reset button... If you need a part, we can get you a price....I'm Susan with Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio, 888-542-5959, or you can ask for Paul too. Thanks, Susan REO

I have several Mitsubishi Electric wall thermostats in my home. They operate two R-410A Mitsubishi CITY MULTI PUMY S-Series Systems. The thermostats will not go below 68 in some rooms and 70 in others....

If there is any option in your thermostat "Limit temp function" press 5 seconds continuously. Then reset it as you like.

Second way of trying is remove batteries/power from your thermostat and reset it. Now you can set as u like.

The pilot light is good if I turn the temp beyond 350, then the burner would go out (the natural gas would shut off at that time) Would you tell me which is the problem and where to buy...

Need more info.. but here goes. If the temperature gets too hot the unit will shut off on hi limit and will reset after it cools down some. This will cause the burner AND the pilot to go out. You need to make sure the temp isn't going over 400. The thermostat my be out of calibration causing the high limit to trip..or the high limit could be shutting the gas off prematurely. You must check the oil temperature when this is happening. It sounds like the high limit device is doing it's job and that the thermostat is letting the oil get too hot.

My fryer will not heat up consistently. If i press the reset button, it heats up. But after heating up to a certain temp it shuts down and stops heating. There is power to the unit, it seems like a problem...

It probably is a problem with the thermostat. The reset button is probably a high limit. The high limit is a safety device to turn the fryer off if the oil gets too hot. Normally they will "trip" somewhere between 375 - 450 degrees F for commercial fryers. I would suggest placing a temperature probe in the oil and see what the oil temp is when it trips. If it trips at a temp below 375, it is a bad high limit. If the thermostat is set at 350 and the temp goes over 400 then the thermostat is bad.

I set the tstat manualy for 77 and when we wake up it reads83 what? thanks

You have a pre-programmed thermostat. You'll need to put in settings for each program setting in order to have the thermostat provide you with the heating/cooling temperatures you want at each time period of the day and for each day of the week (in the case of a 7 day programmable model.

Whenever you put in a manual temperature setting, it is only a temporary setting that will get reset at the next pre-programmed temp setting, unless you set the "HOLD TEMP" setting and select the number of days you want it to hold the temp you manually set on the T-stat.

If you can provide the model number, I can help you further with the programming of your T-stat.

Hope this helps and best regards!

Thanks.

Open limit switch

Tjere is a limit switch that will only allow the durnace to reach a certain temp by kicking on the fan. The thermostat being unable to read the temp affects its ability to keep the furnace from exceeding your settings. *Advise not to use until corrected. Both limit switch and thermostats are inexpensive and simple to change. If in doubt, call a heat and AC tech to repair.
