i use a 12 volt adapter and it work until i un plug it i tryed to plug it back an did not work did i burn it with a 3 volt more it takes 9 volts

Try Radio Shack. They have a car charger that works. Bad news it's $37. Make sure it's rated at 2500 mah.

no, i did the same thing and they work fine on the home charger but i cannot find a real car charger for this. i used the universal one and that is what probably burned. check your home adapter. bad thing is is that these do not have batteries so we NEED the adapter that i cannot find!
