You have posted under the CLS1110 heading. If this is the radio you have here are the programming instructions: With the radio turned OFF, hold in the PTT and the MON, while turning the radio on. Continue to hold the PTT and MON until the radio stops making noise. You are then in programmingis it possible to create a channel on a two way - 2.gif mode and can use the menu button to walk through the stages of programming. Use the PTT to change the settings, and the MENU to lock it in.

The CLS1110 has 56 built-in frequencies to choose from. You cannot program in a "custom" frequency. Only choose from the list.

I keep hearing two people speaking at th4e same time. It's like two different channels

The most likely thing is that there actually are two people speaking at the same time. Different radios have different numbers of operating channels, but it's not uncommon to "run out". Have you tried operating on a different channel? Activating squelch tones and digital security codes doesn't create more channels, it just prevents your radio from squawking when other people are talking. If you disable them, you can monitor any channel, and try to select one that's less busy.

I just bought it and tested on a channel and eliminator code and it worked fine. But after a while I cannot hear static when holding "mon" and cannot hear the other radio if I talk into one. This happens...

If the radios are working fine otherwise, don't worry about the monitor feature not creating white noise (static). If you are still having a problem with the radios, try setting the interference eliminator code to off (zero). And turn off any other special features to see if you can regain communications. Then slowly add the features back in as you need them. All radios must be identical in freq., code, and features.

Best regards.

Need hep programming a new uniden bcd396xt scanner

Unfortunately, you didn't specify if you needed assistance with programming digital or conventional radio systems.. but here is the info for conventional systems. Since a conventional system is really a collection of frequencies, the first thing you need to know is the frequency for each channel you want to program.

  1. Go to the Program System menu and choose New System .
  2. The scanner will prompt you for the System Type. Select Conventional .
  3. When the scanner prompts you confirm, tap YES .
  4. The scanner creates the system with a default name. Select Edit Name if you want to change it.
  5. If you need to change any of the system properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Create at least 1 channel group Each conventional system can contain up to 20 channel groups, and all systems must contain at least 1 channel group.

  1. On the Program System menu, select the system you just created.
  2. Go to the Edit Group menu and select New Group .
  3. If you need to change any of the channel group properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Create at least 1 channel in each group Each conventional system can contain up to 1000 channels in each group, and all groups must contain at least 1 channel.

  1. On the Edit Group menu, select the channel group you just created.
  2. Go to the Edit Channel menu and select New Channel .
  3. Input the frequency for this channel in MHz.
  4. If you need to change any of the channel properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Are there possible a channel kit for the 2100 base radio

the PLL in this radio is not controlable. So there is no simple way to mod it for channels. The may be an expo kit that can do it, or you can use another crystal to alter the mixing crystals frequency to change the working frequency, but I couldn't tell you exactly what. Its something where some math is required and tinkering.

if you want extra channels, it may be easyer to just get another radio that you can be expanded. plenty of radio's are and some are very easy. For instance Galaxy and ranger's are very is. Its as easy is intrupting a wire with a swith in them.

How do I set my motorola's VHF on the same channels? I have two of them and it use to be on the same channel but it accidentally got changed and now it don't work together anymore.

Need more information than you gave, like a model number of the radio.
If you have crystals that were moved around in different orders , you will need a tech to place them together in the same order and retune the radios, if your radios use a software program to create the channel frequencies and all its settings, then again you need a tech to reporgram your radios.

No transmitting with Raymarine Ray45VHF

Hi,

Re your queries:
1. how to memorize channels?
The channels are pre-programmed that a channel number corresponds to a frequency setting. Ex. Ch16 is 156.800 . If for some reasons some channels are missing, perhaps your best course of action is to reset the unit to factory default, that way everything would be back to  normal. Master reset is performed by pressing the 16PLUS button while powering the radio. The LCD will display "CL" indicating that the memory has been cleared.
If you  want to memorize a certain channel/frequency, you can only store it as a replacement for 16PLUS assignment. Ex. Instead of Ch16 as your priority/emergency channel you want say Ch14 (156.700), you can do this by pressing the up/down key till your desired channel; press & hold the 16PLUS key for 3 seconds or until you hear the confirmation beep that your desired channel has been memorized in the memory as the new 16PLUS.

2. Why I cannot transmit?
There could be 2 possible reasons:
2.1 You are transmitting on a channel that has been assigned as receive only. Examples are the weather channels, Channels 1,2,3,  also 70,75,76, and possibly others.
2.2 Your TX module/circuitry has a problem. More often it is the finals that gets burned.

3. When i use the PTT Channel 16 is automatically set ?
The mic has an identical 16PLUS button (similar to the radio's front panel). If you pressed the PTT switch on the side and the radio switches to Ch16 (as if you pressed the 16PLUS button on the front) then you have a wiring problem from the mic to the radio. Possibly a shorted or open connection.  It is also possible that you have a break in the small PCB (in some versions) inside the microphone.

The user's manual can provide a more detailed instruction.  It is available at the RayMarine website and the link is >
http://www.raymarine.com/SubmittedFiles/Handbooks/Legacy_Handbooks/communications/RAY45MANUAL.pdf

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need further information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Constant tone on an HT1000

You will get a constant tone on any channel that isn't programmed. it sounds like the previous user ha a freq programmed on channel 1. Channel 11 is strange, but possible. Usually guys program these radios in order.... they don't put 2 freqs in soo far apart from each other..... I would expect channel 1 AND 2 to have freq programmed in them.... but channel 1 an channel 11 is strange... but possible. Anytime you don't fill up all the channels on these radios (commercial radios in general) you will get a constant tone on the channels that don't have anything programmed in them. Program the radio and your good to go. If you don't program freqs into al the available channels, expect to hear that "constant tone" on any unprogrammed channels. The channels that you hear a tone on do not have a freq programmed into it. Its normal. Good luck
