I have an insignia 32in lcd flat screen tv, it's about a year and a half old. The sound is working but there is no picture. It will not even display the dvd or xbox picture. If anyone can help me figure out what is wrong I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks for you time.

Unfortunately, you will need to schedule service for your TV. Repairs can be arranged by calling 1-888-237-8289 in the U.S. or 1-866-237-8289 in Canada.

SOURCE: I have an Insignia 32in flat screen and im going

I am assuming by tabletop you mean the base. there will be either 4 philips screws or a release button on the bottom of the base , it will allow you to lift the LCD off the base.

p.s ...ask your local hardware store for toggle bolts if you are mounting it to drywall with no studs :)

How to repair an insignia 37" led tv

The first thing I would try is to disconnect the tv from the power source. Wait five minutes before plugging it back into the wall socket. Turn the tv back on and see if you get a display. Try changing the channel and switching inputs. See if you can get it to display anything at all. You could shine a flashlight at the screen and see if you can make out an image. If you see an image with a flashlight then your backlight is out.

Is your tv less than a year old? If it is less than a year old you are still under the manufacturer's warranty. I would see if Best Buy would honor the manufacturer's warranty in store. If that is not the case they should give you a number to contact Insignia directly.

If your tv is out of warranty, it may be cheaper to replace it. I would do your homework and check the price of a repair vs the price of a new tv.

I have a 55 Insignia tv it turned it self off and want come back on.i check the power and it want work either.

Hi James,
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
If your TV, flatscreen, or monitor is more than 5 years old it is more like to have suffered a
component failure.
Take it to a repair shop.

Change input device to some other like a DVD player. Look for loose contacts in RC jack, cable, sockets. Look for any jammed buttons on TV or on remote.

Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.
If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.
