Pump is either blocked or has failed

Dump the drain hose into a bucket till the machine is empty

You may have to take off the clips which hold it to the back

Open up the lint trap and see if there is a coin or a clip in the pump impeller.

If there is nothing in the pump then take off the back of the machine and tilt it so that the hose from the tub to the pump is visable , put some cloth under the machine and remove the hose

You can then look at the other side of the pump and also check to see if there is a small item of clothing which has gone down into the thinner part of the hose

Little plastic parts behind the six big nuts on brass end of the pump have melted.

Hi
These are the valves If they are melted this is because the washer is being left running without being triggered. I also suspect yoru unloader may be failing...your will want your unloader tested. The only way to test anything is to replace these valves first. unfortunately I would also inspect your packings as well as the pistons. when water builds up for a length of time without triggering the washer it recycles and builds up heat....this heat starts to melt your valves....this can also happen by starving your pump for water....running it without water....or by a failed unloader where it doesnt allow water to bypass...do you have to pull the trigger of your wand to start it? If so then your unloader needs work. If it has been starved for water..then your packings will show that damage as well...Usually the farthest set from the inlet having the most damage. Also, when that all get hot as soon as you trigger it and cold water is introduced into the pump, this "shocks" the pump packings and pistons. You want to check the pistons to see if they have cracked..So inspect your pump oil for water...look to see if its white-ish looking... Check your pistons for cracks...check your packings for wear. If you see wear that increasingly gets worse the farther away from your pump inlet then thats a tell tale sign of starvation. ..if your pistons are cracked you will need to replace packings as well anyway. Then replace your valves...reassemble and test your unloader. Good luck to you man. What is a bypass unloader

According to epowerwash.com:
"The unloader valve diverts water flow into bypass when the trigger gun valve is closed. Unloaders may be designed to respond to either an increase in pressure or a change in flow. The unloader valve may also be used for variable pressure adjustment."

There is water squirting out of a hole next the pressure hose connection. Is there a missing screw? Or an adjustment to the washer that can be made. There is no pressure because of this leak.

If this hole has threads then it might be the soap inlet. If water is shooting out under pressure you may have an obstruction in the hose/handle. Try removing the hose and running the washer and see if the water flows out the connection. If the hose ends up being the problem a visual inspection and cleaning of all inlets and the handle should clear it.

If the water coming out of the hole is low/tap line pressure then I think your bypass *(or unloader) valve is stuck in the bypass position.

A stuck unloader just needs to be unstuck and lightly cleaned. A light coating of silicon grease wouldnt hurt either!

Get the manual for this pump and see how to open/remove the unloader valve.

Pressure off and on every few seconds with my karcher 3000BH

hi there rjcomer2

here is web site for parts
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/karcher-2500-11944010-pressure-washer-parts-c-33388_33389_33973.html

sounds like you have a unloader valve problem or a crack in the pressure manifold housing between pressure outlet and unloader valve assy allowing unloader to cycle on/ off

or some dirt trapped in the unloader valve seat , make sure you have good supply of water - ie good flow from tap to pump

try cleaning unloader 1st and fitting in line tap filter

hope it helps

Not sprayer engine stop

This is an indication that the unloader not working properly. When you release the trigger the unloader senses the increase in pressure and bypasses the water into the water inlet. When the unloader is not working and you release the trigger, the water pressure builds quickly and overcomes the power of the engine shutting it down. Here is the manual for your machine, http://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/manuals/Simpson_WaterBlaster%20manual_2.pdf

and some information about troubleshooting from the manual.
"Not Unloading. Leak in Gunvalve or Hose. Repair gun leak . Replace leaking or broken hoses. Debris or wear in Check Valve. Remove Check Valve parts and clean. Check O-Ring. Reface with emery cloth, or replace checkvalve. Damaged Piston U-Cup. Rebuild Unloader Valve (Service Center)."
Usually when the unloader fails the pressure regulator will most likely need to be replaced as the unloader is usually incorporated within. For now try lowering the pressure some and just tie the trigger open untill you can service. Good luck.

K5.140 makes a revving noise when releasing the

Before you do the below steps check the water supply inlet screen for obstructions where the water hose connects to the unit. If you notice debris remove and clean the screen under running water with a small NYLON brush.

The bypass unloader valve is triggering earlier than it should. You can lubricate this by adding oil to the water supply inlet (at least 3 oz.) and very briefly switching the unit on then off 0.5 seconds. Then let is sit overnight. The next day connect power briefly and again cycle the unit on then off for 0.5 seconds. Connect the water supply and then purge the water wand hose into a bucket to catch the oil before use. After this restart the unit and operate the wand trigger under full pressure at 0.5 second intervals to ;scycle the bypass / unloader valve inside the pump. This method has worked in about 95\0 % of the machines I have worked on. The oil lubricates and fattens the seals in the bypass / unloader valve. It eihter works the first time or the seals are torn in the unloader valve and must be replaced. With only 3 uses I think your pretty much in the clear and will not need new seals.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Can't get water to come threw nozzel

Sounds like you may have some calcium buildup in the hose, gun or unloader. Take the unloader (where the hoses hookup) apart and clean away the deposits. This should solve your problem.

hi you have got a fault with the unloader it's not unloading so its going a bove the 13amps and knocking the thermol overload out or blowing a fuse you could cable tie the trigger open or get a new unloader kit costing about £70.00 regards

I think your main problem is that the unloader valve needs to be lubricated. Use the very best water resistant bearing grease you can find. If you can e-mail me a pic of your unloader assembly I can try to explain how to set it up. firehead@roges.com
