Try to reset the camera - take out the battery then push the reset button with a straightened end of a paper clip. Hold the reset switch depressed for about 3 seconds. Reinsert the battery.

There is no reset switch on your HP M537 (unlike R707 model). To reset your camera, remove the battery for about 5 seconds. After you reinsert the battery, you may be prompted to set the time and date.

Try connect it to charger. If it works while connected to the charger, you need a new battery.

HP Photosmart M425, "Card Lock" message, camera

Take the memory card out of your camera. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Constant Charging Flash HP Photosmart R927 digital camera

First I'd try turning the flash off, a manual option on nearly all camera's. Take a couple of photo's without flash, and turn the camera off and on a couple of times then turn the flash back on to auto.

If that doesn't resolve the problem, I suggest going to the HP website, follow links to support and/or downloads and see if there's a firmware upgrade for your camera.

Continous "charging flash" when trying to snap a picture

Connect the camera to the charger and take the picture. If the charging flash stops after a couple of seconds, it means that you need a new battery.

I have a memory card that hold 700 or so pictures,

It could be, that what you are seeing, is the INTERNAL memory is being taken up with your pictures. Connect your camera to your computer with a USB cable and you will probably find them.

Every time I try to take a picture with a flash, camera just states "charging flash" but will not take the picture. Camera is a HP photosmart R927

IF your holding down firmly on the button and it just keeps saying that it is charging then you may have a serious problem. This sounds like it is defective. I hope it is still under warranty. If not you may want to consider a new camera. Sorry but no easy solution to that one.

If you can take things apart without damaging things...then it may be possible to fix. I have had mine apart several times, and the slider on the outside, switches a mini micro slider inside. It has to be lined up with the tabs...dropping it may have caused it to jump the slots.

Previous solution is the FAIL. Original poster says it works fine in _camera_, but not in _printer_. _Printer_ is the compatibility issue, not camera.

Memory drive

This has happened to my wife's camera twice now. The solution (I think this is the fix) is to take the card out of the camera and then turn it back on without the card in the camera. Doing this will access the camera's internal memory and at this point you should delete any/all/some of the pictures that you find. After deleting some pics from the camera then take a picture. Now turn the camera off and replace the card. Power on the camera and either format the card or just start taking pictures again. I formatted the this last time since I had already moved the pictures to the P.C. and saved them. Give this a try. It's worked for me and it's free.
