Re: Audio connection

You need to connect your stereo to the L and R audio out connectors and then go into the menu for audio and select either external for using only the stereo or "center" to use the stereo speakers plus using the TV speakers as a center speaker.

What are connections and connectors for audio output to wireless headset

Hi Richard,

First, you'll need to determine which type of input(s) the wireless headset transmitter has. Most common is the 3.5mm stereo plug designed to slip into the headphone jack of a TV, MP3 player, cell phone, etc. Some transmitters have adapters in the box to allow connecting to the Left and Right channel RCA / phono style jacks found on other components such as CD, DVD, VCR, Stereo receivers / amplifiers, etc.

You'll need to find OUTPUTS of the CD and TV that match the plug on the wireless headset transmitter. If yours doesn't include adapters to go from say the RCA jacks mentioned above - to whatever connector that the transmitter input has - you'll need to go to your local Radio Shack store or similar store to see if they can provide an adapter that will allow you to connect.

Here are a couple plugs / adapters:

Above: A "3.5mm stereo patch cable". Your transmitter may have a cable with an end like this to plug into the TV's headphone jack.

25683604-gy4zxbmnj5ndu14q12lmwneo-2-1.jpg Above: A "3.5mm female stereo jack to RCA stereo male plug" adapter that would allow the top cable to connect to the Left and Right audio output jacks on a typical CD, DVD, etc. device.

These cables / adapters are typically $5 to $10 maximum.

I hope this helps and good luck!

How can I make a NEC Plasma Monitor that was given to me work like a TV that has AUDIO?

If it has no internal sound, then you obviously can't make it function like a TV aside from the picture right? It does have inputs whether HDMI or standard Cable wiring to see TV from a cable box?

You'd need to have RCA cables coming from the cable box (Audio out - white wire I'd figure) going into a stereo near the monitor that has a VIDEO button on it where the white RCA cable is plugged into the Audio In jack.

A stereo receiver or even old sort of stereo with a Video or Auxillary sort of jack with button to activate that jack will allow for surround sound from the stereo coming from the cable box in sync with the video of the TV.

If your Sceptre TV has audio output connections (often RCA connectors), you need an adapter cable with RCA plugs on one end and a miniature stereo plug on the other to connect to lhe LINE IN input of your computer's sound card

How do i connect my soni bravia television to internet

Hook up a computer to it. The tv could have an hdmi connector or monitor connector (check the back of the television to see which type of connectors you have available) so just plug a cable in from your pc to the tv.

For sound, a simple computer cable plugs into the headphone jack of the computer to the back of the television. If you have a PC, you may have a series of connectors for stereo surround sound systems (like a sound card). I use a simple jack that plugs into the headphone jack (stereo speaker jack) and also plugs into the pc audio in port on the tv. Now I just select the input (pc) from the sony menu and select the option for sound input and voila. As long as the pc is connected to the internet, your tv is your new monitor.

Hi, sorry but Most LG's no longer have audio outputs. The easiest way to get it ,You need to take the audio output from the source i.e. "cable box output"..if you have of course...
However whether your TV has this output or not we need to make some tests..5 different connections possibilities provided below.
(not by can start with any of it ).Below ,there is a sample TV back panel picture as well
1) 2x RCA ports red / white is audio out ( L + R ) of TV to Stereo..
2) You can get also the audio digital output from the TV to a A/V receiver. the tv's optical audio out is stereo only mainly designed for freeview or tv audio to be output,
set the audio ouput on the TV menu to Dolby Digital, connect a digital optical out directly to the A/V receiver to receive audio signals.
3) since your TV has :2 x HDMI, SCART, AV, Component Video, VGA-sub, USB 2.0, connections, you may use the SCART plug to get Audio output for your TV .
TV's SCART connector which has 21 pins and "2x Audio Output " pins should be in it.
you need to buy an adapter called " RGB Scart Male to 3 RCA AV Female Adapter Converter" that can easily be found any electronic example as found eBay URL is below..
After you get this adapter, you need to carry the audio signal from SCART's RCA plugs to your Receiver with a 2x RCA (white/red ) cable.(if this does not work ,mfg should state somewhere in the your TV's "SCART socket IN only" ) if you properly connect IN/OUT plugs you will able to get the audio signal of the TV thru stereo..I recommend 2 $ value "RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter" with IN/OUT switch on it.
4) use HDMI connection of TV if you have HDMI input on your stereo of course...
5) if these are not an audio-out on one of these connectors , so you'll need to use the headphone socket if you want to plug it into a stereo. you need a cable 2x RCA to 3.5mm Headphone jack.
( This is the last ditch solution , since it mutes the whole sound.) ..
NOTE: if you connect this, pls be careful, your TV voice level will drive the stereo volume....

Hope this helps!..if more help requires Would you please let me know the result ?
Take care and please

Got a 19" LG LCD

To convert a LCD Monitor into a TV
    • 1

Compare internal and external TV tuners that are designed for use with computers. See if the tuner supports HD, DVI, component video, S-video, stereo, surround sound or other features you might like to use. Ensure that any internal devices will work with the expansion slots in your computer.

    • 2

Purchase a regular TV tuner if your monitor has S-video, coaxial or RCA inputs. These can be seen at the back of the monitor. S-video should be clearly marked; coaxial is a large round port, and RCA inputs are typically smaller and brightly colored. If your monitor does not have these inputs, purchase a special TV tuner designed just for computer monitors. If you would like to use the tuner with your computer and monitor, choose an internal TV tuner. If you're using your computer monitor as a television on its own, select a stand-alone external tuner. Install the internal TV in your computer, if applicable.

    • 3

Connect the TV tuner to the monitor with the proper cable. Select S-video as the connection option if both your tuner and monitor support it. Choose RCA component video as your next option. Use coaxial only if your monitor and tuner do not have the aforementioned connections. If your monitor has none of these connections, use a standard VGA cable to connect the tuner and monitor.

    • 4

Connect the tuner's audio outputs to your monitor's speakers. If your monitor has no speakers directly attached, connect external speakers to the TV tuner. This can usually be achieved using regular audio or RCA cable.

    • 5

Install an HD antenna high on a wall if you will be picking up free over-the-air television signals with your monitor. If you will be using satellite or cable TV with your monitor, simply plug the satellite or cable set top box into the tuner using RCA or coaxial cables. Then connect the tuner directly to the monitor.

    • 6

Set your tuner to the channel you use to pick up television stations. If you receive free over-the-air television, this channel will be 3 or 4. If you have satellite or cable TV, this station is determined by your television service provider. Check the documentation that came with your system to determine which channel to set the tuner on. You will probably need to change channels using the satellite or cable box rather than the TV tuner.

I have my lg connected to my pc as monitor have picuture but no sound what do i need to do

You must connect the speaker "out" from your PC into the audio "in" for your TV.

Either on the front or, most likely, the back of your PC you will have a green colored plug - which might have an image/imprint of earphones next to it. You will probably need a cable which convers the PC stereo into stereo RCA's for your TV - like the following:

Just bought a stereo mini to rca cable. i have a macbook and a 32" dynex tv. I dont know where to insert the cables on the tv.

you need a mini to two rca plugs cable; once you have this: connect the red rca plug to the left TV stereo rca connector and, the white rca plug to the right TV stereo connector
and, the mini stereo plug to your speaker jack on the macbook You will now have sound.
then: connect the video to you macbook using another either s-video or, vga cable to the TV

Connecting tv

ok well there are multiple ways to do this

On the back of the tv there should be two RCA connectors with AUDIO OUT L and AUDIO OUT R, use any rca cable to connect these to the Input of your Sorround sound system. In some Tv's you will need to enable these connectors in order to allow then to work. You can find this option in the setup or menu function of your TV set
