Question about HP LaserJet 1300 Printer
At my place of business we have a HP LaserJet 1300 Printer and there are 10 computers networked to this printer. Literally overnight it stopped working. I have checked all the connections and everything appears to be connected properly. I am able to get a test page to print out, but that is all. I was wondering if it might be the hp jetdirect 200m lio print server. Is there a way to test this device to see if it is the problem?
If you can get a test page this indicates that there is nothing wrong with your printer there should be a little button on the jetdirect box press that and that will give you the jetdirect settings and IP code. Check this with you computer system as your IP host license may of expired and change the jetdirect to suit.
If the network IP code is still the same the cheapest this is to fit a new jetdirect box if this still doesn't work then I'm affrayed that the machine formatter board has become faulty and would probberly out way the cost to repair it that buy a new machine.
