Suspect an overload in the power supply or audio output stage. Look around for burnt parts, damage or anything that looks wrong.

Went black and white rca f32648

so far no proper details are available regarding resetting this particular TV ( f32648 ) .... i have checked user manual also

have you tried following things

1 - playing different dvds (dvd player )
2 - changing different channels ( cable tv or antenna )
3 - increasing ( to maximum ) & decreasing ( to minimum ) [in menu ]
contrast colour tint black level sharpness
picture presets auto colur colour warmth
4 - auto channel searching ( cable tv or antenna )

even after these trials if picture is in black & white then it is a hardware problem - since it is a rare problem no details are available about which component might have got deffective ...... only the service engineer who opens & checks your tv can tell the exact deffective component .......... sometimes it can be loose connection ( cracks at soldering joints - hit your TV lightly with your hand on left side or right side or on top - if color comes & goes then it is loose connection problem - all soldering joints should be resoldered by service engineer ) ..... or an IC might have got deffective ......... only after opening & checking your tv mainboard exact deffective component can be identified ......

for nearest RCA service center call 1800 336 1900 ( this number got from your TV's user manual - click this link for your TV's user manual - free down load - RCA F32648 model - http://download.rca.com/FilesForRCAcom/Manuals/15491880.pdf

Its on stand by but wont start up

In that case or problem of you television, the cause is the deffective power supply. The power supply is dead or has a low voltage output. The cause of that problem of power supply is the deffective capacitor. The capacitor is totally leak and cannot filter the voltage. The leak capacitor can cause of volatge drop.So if you want to repair the power supply, try to pull out the power supply to the cassing and remove the cover to see the leak capacitor. You can identify the leak capacitor through visual checking,if you don't know how to use the capacitor tester. If the capacitor have rounded shape at the top and have some moise, that a leak capacitor compare to flated top shape of the good capacitor.Replace all leak capacitor with new and same value for example.330mf/35v.Avoid short circuit at the PCB board of the power supply.Try my suggestion or procedure.Hope it will help you.Thanks..

Small picture

Usually if the picture of the television is small the problem is the power supply. The power supply have low output voltage.Theres a deffective filter capacitor,so it is need replace. If you have no knowledge to identify the leak capacitor in using tester. You can identify the leak capacitor through visual checking.Try to look the power supply of your TV.If you can see the good capcitor, the top part is flated shape, while the leak capacitor is round shape at the top parts.Replace the leak capacitor.

I cannot get any sound from my wega KV-24FS120 sony. Sound does not come from TV speakers themselves. I tried MTS and all the audio functions. What to do? Demian

Hi,There are three cause of no sound, ethier the problem is in the speaker, sound driver or output and from the audio setting.First is check the setting, that you already done that what you sad.Now check the speaker if good or not,Use analog or digital tester to check the speaker if good or not or test the speaker to the other amplifier to identify if good or not.If the speaker is deffective replace it and if the speaker is good the problem is in the sound driver.Maybe the sound output ic is deffective or no supply.Thats why it is needed to troubleshoot and repair the sound circuit section of your television. Thanks

Plug tv up and green light comes on for a few sec and then powers down

IF LED IS BLINKING then following is the situation..............
usually after 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to tube ) becomes weak - then TV won't get ON.. means no picture no sound but LED blinks - in some TVs along with EHT 1 or 2 components like resistor, transistors, etc will also gets deffective - so solution is TV circuit board has to be checked to find whether only EHT is deffective or other components are also deffective - price of EHT will be between Rs.250 (US$ 5) to Rs.600 (US$ 12) - iam service engineer (computers, laptops, printers, etc) - bangalore - domlur - 09986222774 - sathyavijayasarathibabu@ymail.com - if you are in bangalore then you can call me for service - i think you are living somewhere in america /australia..... - problem is simple but i don't have any idea about EHT COMPONENT 's price & service charge in your place....... IF LED IS ALSO NOT BLINKING then following is the situation............fuse is gone due to deffective component in power section .................. so my suggestion contact near by TV service engineer or approach SANYO service centre ....this problem cannot be solved by user unless user is a technical person, having idea about components (resisitors, transistors, diodes, ...etc), having tools like multimeter ,soldering iron , soldering lead ,flux, desoldering coil, etc....

HP Compaq NX6125 Laptop making a clicking noise when playing DVD

If it only happens when playing DVDs then that drive may be deffective. If it happens without playing dvds then it may be the Hard Drive. You may run a test for the Hard drive to be sure. The computer should have its own but you can also use SeaTools

http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?locale=en-US&name=SeaTools&vgnextoid=720bd20cacdec010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD

Also you can try playing the sounds of deffective hard drives from this website to identify the cause

hi there, if you're using your power inverter to run your microwave oven isn't it? surely it is not advisable to plug this appliances for this really consume a lot of power...and eventually overload your PWR Invrter..if you use you power inverter in diff. load like lightings or a small dvd plyer and runs smoothly...is your microwave has no deffect if plug in wall socket and still blown the fuse...you have a deffective microwave oven..every time you replace the fuse w/ same type or ampereage and still blown you have a shorted power supply...try to bring your microwave oven in service center...nice day..
