Hi

To resolve this issue you'll need to clean your top load washer. Try the steps mentioned below to clean it--

Remove the dispenser and spray with white vinegar. Then spray the agitator with it too. You can pretty much wipe it right out. Vinegar dissolves softener very quickly. The dispenser just wash out with warm water after the vinegar sits on it for a minute, and you hardly have to wipe at it at all. try adding bleach to the dispenser and clean it with a small brush.

The dispenser will pull off from the agitator and you can run hot water in it from the sink. The agitator is not as easy but has a 1/2" bolt holding it to the shaft. remove the bolt and pull up. but you can clean the whole washer with a cup of bleach and that will also clean the agitator. Now run a full tub of hot water and then add a cup of bleach with no soap. After the washer has filled up, then add another gallon of hot water and that will help to rinse out the residues that cause odors. then after that dont use too much soap and you wont have residue build up. Only use the smallest amount of soap that the cup has marked in it.

After performing all these steps if you still get lint on clothes then it is due to a clogged drain pump and/or drain filter.

Please do rate the solution & revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Although balanced, washing machine vibrates excessively during spin cycles. Model WF361BVBEWR/A2 Serial Y10A5AED202036N

you need to state make and type ( top or front loader ) if top loader , it is most likely that suspension rods for the tub have broken and failed
( indicated by unbalance starting with few or no clothes)
at the bottom of the rods under the tub tabs there is an air and piston type damper around the springs
the top breaks out and the damper action is lost ( cost around $90.00 AUd for set of 4
check the tub level by removing the lint filter assembly and placing a level across the agitator center
front loader is a different failure

The clothes are full of hair and lint when the wash cycle is finished, how do you fix that?

On a top loader, check the filter inside the agitator.

On a front loader, check the filter under the panel at the front.

Get the lint and hair off before you wash.

Use a tumble dryer and an anti-static softener sheet.

Why do my front load ge washer leave lint on the clothes?

A lot of build up from front loaders is caused from "scrud" excess detergent or constant cold water use. Place a cup full of Epson Salts in the machine and run through a hot wash cycle every 4 weeks or so and this will help keep bowl clean.

After every wash the lent stays on the clothes

here are a few suggestions Two things that come to mind...1) Your wash time is too long. Unlike front loaders, top loaders clean quickly. No need to use the longest wash setting unless the item is really dirty.
2) You are overloading the machine. Items should move freely and circulate from top-to-bottom several times during the wash.
3) try using more detergent, One of the things good detergent does is keep lint (and dirt) suspended in the water and off your clothes. 4)http://www.ehow.com/how_2083872_clean-washing-machine-lint-trap.html

Excessive lint on washed clothes

Your washer does not have a lint filter, so it's very important to sort lint givers from the lint takers. Washers today to not have lint filters because we rely on the dryer to remove lint that does not get pump out with the wash water.

Below are tips taken directly out of the user's manual:

  • Did you sort properly? Sort lint givers (towels, chenille) from lint takers (corduroy, synthetics). Also sort by color.
  • Did you overload the washer? The wash load must be balanced and not overloaded. Clothes should move freely. Lint or powdered detergent can be trapped in the load if overloaded. Wash smaller loads.
  • Did you select the correct water level? The water level should be correct for the load size. The load should be under water.
  • Did you use enough detergent? Follow manufacturer's directions. Use enough detergent to hold the lint in the water.
  • Did you line dry your clothing? If so, you can expect some lint on the clothing. The air movement and tumbling of a dryer removes lint from the load.
  • Was paper or tissue left in the pockets?
  • Is your water colder than 60°F (15.6°C)? Wash water colder than 60°F (15.6°C) may not completely dissolve the detergent.
  • Did you use the proper cycle time and agitation speed for the load? Reducing wash time (duration) and agitation speed are ways to reduce lint.

Check the pockets of pants and make sure there is nothing in them ....Take a damp cloth and wipe out the inside of the drum to try to get excess lint out of it.... also run a short wash with no clothes in washer to see if it cleans the washer out certain clothes such as towels should also be washed by themselves ...........

Excessive lint on clothes and smell

There is many solutions that work some. The best analogy I have seen is to reduce the wash time as the newer soaps are more efficient at removing dirt which also softens the fabric. Any excess in soap regardless of type in combination with water type will cause an odor, why is the contaminents in the water plus the junk on are clothes to be polite. It builds up under the basket and along the top water line in the tub plus creates a film from the tub through the hoses, pump and house drain. Lint is a product of excess washing and too much soap. Whirlpool stated for there front loaders no more than two TBL of liquid soap which is like 3/8 cup max for the old top loader. SearsTechToo
