The DC connector needs to be resoldered. it is a common problem with laptops. Unfortunately, the unit needs to be completely taken apart.

here is a link that will show you how to:

I have a Dometic RV refrigerator Model RM 2652. After starting the unit up it cuts back off in a minutes. Checked and found out not getting power to the unit. When I plugged straight in to another outlet...

On the back side of the refrigerator to the right you will see a couple of wires going into a metal rod that is bent. That is the electric heating element. Grasp hold of the metal/rubber booted end and see if you can move it from side to side. If it will not move then that typically means that the heating element has failed and has welded to the cooling unit. When this happened it not only could cause a short but could also rupture the cooling unit causing a loss of the hydrogen/ammonia mixture. If they are moveable then you may have a bad circuit board that is causing the unit to shut down to protect the other components.

Why does my garmin nuvi 205w keep shutting off?

The most common cause is low battery.(no voltage to the unit)
Does it shut off if plugged in and not moved?
If you have a old battery it may show a full charge while having only a surface charge and of course....will shut off.
Also if it is plugged in and the connection is moved causing a bad connection .....even for a second while having a bad battery in the unit ....it will ...of course ....shut off.

Unclear here? When you take the battery out, it shuts off? Assuming you do have the power supply plugged in? (sorry, I know it sounds silly that I ask that, but you just never know)

Acers will work with the battery out, actually that is how I HAD to work my acer. I personally would not buy another ACER because of the problems I have had with mine. I had to remove my battery as the keyboard and mouse would NOT function with the battery in place. (the battery never held long charge from new anyway). So I started using it plugged in all the time. (no battery).

As far as the hitting the wireless button and the computer shuts down, I'm wondering if just moving the laptop period is what is causing the shutdown. My Acer too, (because of jiggly PS jack on the back) would cut off is laptop is even slightly moved. Maybe while pushing the button the laptop too gets moved? Unsure. It may be a shortage issue, but I suspect it has more to do with shorted PS jack.

Hope this helps at least some. Good luck!

Hav a pavilion a510n HP , the cpu will not start up, there is a green light on the back of the cpu flashing when it has power but when pushing the start button it will not start, monitor has power but...

I had a similar problem. Moved a 4-year-old desktop. Got the flashing light and no start. Quick fix is to unplug unit, open up case and unplug the large power connector on the motherboard. (On mine this is marked P1 and has a lock tab on one side that must be held in while unplugging.) Plug the 110-volt power and THEN plug the connector back into the motherboard. Button the case back up and all will be well until the next time you shut the power off to the computer.

The cause of this problem is likely that the battery on the motherboard is nearly dead. The flashing light is a warning to replace the battery. (It would have been nice if they would have put this into the user manual.) When you disconnect the power as described above, you interrupt the low-battery circuit. Replace the battery and all should be well.

Unit shuts off automatically after power on.

You have an internal short in the electrical line. your wall a/c [120 volts] goes inside and is converted [changed] to DC [ like a super battery] There are a lot of connections coming out of this POWER SUPPLY[super battery] to FEED other electrical circuit. ANY one of the circuits can demand more then power supply can give and will cause it to SHUT DOWN [turn off to protect itself]
unless u know what u are doing [" DANGER!! wILL rOBINSON, DANGER!!] you should not mess with it.
