BSOD blue screen of death can come with many situations.

There is usually an error message which can be referenced on the INTERNET.
It is not always indicative of a ram error and can in many cases be fixed quite easily with only a small amount of knowledge.

The error number etc may give a proper expert the means to tell you exactly what to do

This is quite possibly a driver or network issue.

If you have changed drivers for any hardware recently you might want to try and roll back those drivers from safe mode

To enter safe mode repeatedly press F8 whilst booting. Select safe mode with network support.

Only reason I suggest this safe mode is for possible access to the network drivers.

If you can get into safe mode check all your hardware for any issues via the control panel.

If any need drivers then use another machine to download them as needed.

You may want to try and roll back a driver before using a new one

EG roll the driver back if you can and restart the computer to see if it fixes it.

If you have more than one network card you may want to look at removing one from the computer if it is on a separate card.

Re-installation of the operating system without correct drivers may lead you back to the BSOD.

Hi, you can download a manual here if you don`t
have one:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4N68TM_V2/#download

Please select your operating system 32 or 64 bit system.
Select manual and click on global for download.
Unzip the file before you can read it.

My guess is that your harddrive has a defect.
Or the windows disc is broken so all the files on
it not being loaded properly on the harddrive.
A blue screen is typical harddrive failure.

Try to change the harddrive with a new one
and see if the problem helps you.

Hello,

Thanks for using fixya.

My name is Carlo.

Your computer might not pass the system requirements that's why it has an error. Or, you can try installing it one more time and check if it will work. Computers do mess up sometimes.

Here's the system requirement of SIMS 3:

Desktop PC (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor
RAM: 1 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)

Desktop PC (Windows Vista + SP1):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2400+ Processor
RAM: 1.5 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)

Laptop (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor
RAM: 1.5 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce Go 6200 or Radeon 9600)

Laptop (Windows Vista + SP1):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2400+ Processor
RAM: 2 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce Go 6200 or Radeon 9600)

IF your computer does not pass the system requirement, then you cannot play sims3 in your computer.

I hope this helps. Thank you for using fixya

Please leave your comment and ratings. Thanks

CARLO
