Cd will not eject cd's

most likely you'll have to remove player and manually eject...even possibly partially disassemble the housing of the player..?

sometimes you can stick something long like a plastic butter knife, knitting needle, or similar with a tiny hook on the end and possibly pry it out..

My CD will not eject out of my Dell XPS One Desk

It is possible that a CD may have become stuck within the CD-ROM drive. If the CD-ROM drive has a small hole (that is not the head phone jack), using a paper clip, place the paper clip within the hole and attempt to manually eject the CD-ROM tray.

If the CD-ROM drive is only partially able to be opened, attempt to pull the tray gently to see if it can be manually ejected. If it cannot be opened any further, it is likely that the gears within the CD-ROM drive have become bad, dislodged, or that a CD is positioned in the drive, which does not allow it to open.

I have found that if a software program is locking the CD, power off the computer, power on and immediately try to eject the drawer when the first image comes on the screen. Try several times before the OS comes up.

6 disc changer will not eject cds==

I had the same problem for months. I checked the owners manual, checked the fuse box, everything I could think of. Then, today, I did some online research and someone said one of the CD's is probably just jammed or slipped out a bit. The suggestion was to gently slide a credit card over the disk (through the door/slot, which in my case was partially open). I just tried it. The door closed and the message said "initializing". It worked! The CD player is back to normal.

PowerBook G4 won't eject cd by any means found on apple support

If you can hear that it's trying, it might be getting pinched while trying to eject, especially if something pressed down on the case at that spot. Try gently widening the opening with a flat head screwdriver while you are ejecting the CD. just put the driver in and twist a bit to widen the slot. Also, check to make sure that the fuzzy stuff that brushes off the disk when you insert it - and keeps out dust - hasn't been damaged. If it is partially missing, the missing part may be inside, keeping the CD from ejecting.

Listened to a CD in the single CD player in my BMW 2006 525i. Now I can't eject it. It slides partially out but when I try to grab it it will slide back in- how do I get it out?

hi janice, try holding down the eject button continuously for 10 seconds. if the cd continues to only slide partially out, you will need to firmly grip the cd and pull it out manually. I have seen cars at my dealer with warped cd's cause this same problem. make sure to pull the cd out as straight as possible so as to not damage the load drive of the radio. After you get it out I would recommend not using that cd again.

CD Drive not Ejecting properly

Hi, Since the warranty period has expired I will assume that the CD/RW has been in use for some time. Normally a small belt powered by a motor drives a gear that slides the tray out. Sometimes this belt is loose, warped or plain cut. Replacing the belt should solve the problem. You have to open the CD and it is near the front just below the tray. In other instances, the grease on the toothed railing at the sides and/or underneath the tray gets gummed up, cleaning and repacking with new light grease should take care of that. Rarely (but still does happen), the motor itself burns up and replacement (if you can get the part) is in order. An interim fix is to push a small straightened metal paperclip at a small hole below the tray cover/lip and slightly push till the tray partially opens. You can then manually pull it out. Hope this be of some help/idea to you. Good luck and kind regards.
