Select a codument in question. Right click on it. Select OPEN WITH ... pick your favorite word processor. See if that fixes it.

If it does (and I think it will) you can select multiple documents and do the same. There is also a routine in windows (xp) that will allow you to set this feature. I have seen it but never had the opportunity (need) to use it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Hi ,i purchased my dell inspiron laptop recently.2 days onwards, touch pad is not working.could you please help me?

My dear friend this will usually be a problem with the function keys, you might have de-activated the touch pad. Try to check in the function keys and you may find a key with marking of touch pad usually it would be F4 so to activate it you need to Hold Fn+F4 key and try. It will sure work well and this is not a problem with the machine.

Touch pad is not responding

depending on the model. right aboce it there could be a little button that looks like the toch bad with a line through it. press that and try again.

on another model there was a touch pad icon in the system tray. click that to disable the touchpad. might need an external mouse to do it.

Whilst typing the cursor moves to another part of the document

If your laptop has the option too you can turn off touch pad through a switch above the touch pad.

If you can't find this, or you don't have one, simply go to the run command and type in devmgmt.msc, ok.

Once in the device manager go "Mice and Other Pointing Devices"
look for your touchpad, right click on it and select disable.

Please note, some laptops wont let you disable to the touchpad, mine wont, but mine has an on and off key.

ON/OFF Key
Touch Pad On
Touch Pad Off

This will keep the mouse from moving whole you type, but I suggest you get a regular mouse, especially if you have to disable the device with the Device manager.

Yamaha psr-270 keyboard almost all keys are not functioning

Most if not all Yamaha PSR series have a silcon pad sandwiched between each octave and a continuous printed circuit card that runs the length of the keyboard. What I have experienced is the raised **** (2 per note) weaken and split near the larger portion of the 12 note silicon section. Depending on which one splits..you can have a note that plays full volume or no volume at all. Basically the processor timer measures the difference in contact time between the first *** touching the printed circuit point and the second *** touching it's contact point...it calculates the time difference and assigns it a "speed of impact" to derive a volume level for that specific note.
New silicon pads are somewhat difficult to find (they cannot be repaired) and the task to replace them is tedious but not impossible. Exercise great care in popping the printed circuit board out as it is thin and fragile. Pull the old silicon pad out and slip the new ones in place..make absolutely sure everything is in its place (including the keys) and gradually snap the printed circuit board back in place... keep in mind that the board is a one piece full length component. Patience is req'd
Each pad costs about 10-12$$ ...a 5-octave kybd has 5 pads....so it'll cost about 50-60 bucks to replace them
