I do not have any sound on my computer. The sound driver appears to be installed.

use the following link
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
search for M2N-MX
Resulting screen will show 4 models -- make sure you have the right one and click it
you can choose an OS and find drivers -- the model matcihing M2N-MX is confirmed to have drivers.

You just download the Realtek sound driver for ASUS M2N MX XE from the ASUS website.
But firstly, if you are suffering from the sound problem you just completely remove the old sound driver otherwise it will automatically update the sound driver.
