We purchased this Kinderkraft "sleigh" crib/toddler bed from babies r us in 2000. Used it for our son, our 2nd child(2002), & now would like to use it again for our newborn. The problem is when my husband put it in storage he put all of the hardware together in a safe spot, so safe that we can not find it at all...Is there somewhere we can purchase new hardware-preferably online? Please let me know asap as our new daughter is rapidly growing out of her bassinet. Thank You!
Mrs. J. Kuprian

You can order the crib rails through your local Babies R Us. We have the same crib, and have been having trouble locating them also. I spoke with the store manager today, and she said all DELTA cribs use the same rails. They are a metal pair that cost $69.99. The number for them is: 617153. Hope this helps!! :-)
I am not sure where you got the information regarding a recall on the Kinderkraft crib but to our knowledge there have not been any recalls, past or present, on any of the Kinderkraft cribs. The recent recalls have all involved the plastic hand release trigger hardware and that is not what Kinderkraft was using. You can go on to the Consumer Product Safety Commisions website at www.cpsc.gov for a full listing of all crib recalls to be sure.
You can contact the customer service reps at Products America, "The Hardware Specialist." They carry parts and instructions for the Kindercraft cribs but they will need a little information about it to determine which model you have. The numbers are 800-772-1041 and 800-205-9642. You can check out their wide range of products at www.productsamerica.com or www.productsamerica.net.

If its like mine, you just remove the front panel that went up and down. Then lower the wood mattress support to the lowest level. You are now ready for the toddler bed. Once you want to convert to a double bed frame. You have to purchase a metal frame that holds the bed. Then attach the back and the front to the metal frame. This should like a sleigh bed. Good Luck, Nicol
