You drills transmission bump plate, pin and spring are worn. You will have to replace the transmission in order for your clutch to work properly.

There is a collar that controls the torque of the driver just behind the chuck. Rotate it until the drill icon lines up for full power.

I can run drill, but it doesnt; have much tork before it goes into clutch mode

there should be different settings for the clutch. there is a wheel behind the chuck which you can turn for the settings. If it is set at the high setting the clutch is worn and has to be replaced.

When i drill with my 18volt cordless, and the bit catches it makes an awful grinding noise inside the drill, its not the adjustable clutch set low. its set on drill?

Your speed switch is between gears, pull the trigger lightly and slide the speed switch back and fourth until it is fully engaged. Also turn the clutch setting all the way down then all the way back to lock it is not uncommon for them to get dodgy.

Cheers,

How the cordless drill works in drill mode, especially how the clutch works in drill mode, please give the clear explanation with diagrams

the basic operation for the drill working in the drill only mode is you tighten the clutch up which puts more pressure on the spring not allowing the clutch to ratchet like it would in another position therefore bypassing the clutch completely. Give me the brand and model number and I will try and find a parts explosion for you.
