The Screen flickering problem can be due to a loose connection. The loose connection is between the MCU to the Screen. Also another point which can have the fault is the Hinge Assembly. If it ever gets faulty, the Screen can get flickery or can get into half. And about the replacement, you can get the Part from an authorized dealer. He can easily replace it. And the replacing the parts is a tiring job. It needs a lot of time and efficiency, My advice is to get to a Certified Technician.

Thank you, Have a nice day.

Flickering screen

Take it apart and check the wires that power the screen. If moving the lid has any effect, you've likely got an intermittent open circuit in the wiring that goes through the hinge. You can try to figure out which one it is, but those wires are usually too small to splice without micro-miniature tools. I'd search for the best price on a replacement screen for when you get tired of it or it finally goes away completely.

If you can give it a desktop-replacement role where the lid doesn't need to move much anymore or run it off an external monitor permanently, you may be able to extend the useful life at little or no cost. A docking station would be preferable here, since running a direct external monitor over the long term will likely fry the motherboard after a year or so of constant use.

Last choice is to slick the drive, sell it for cheap on ebay, take that money and the money you saved on not buying a screen and put it towards a new one if you want to invest in an upgrade.

How to solve Flickering problem of LCD

I have an Acer 5920G that's only 3 months old and it's screen started flickering. Updating or rolling back the graphics card driver made no difference. I then updated the Chipset driver from the Acer website. It hasn't flickered since!
The graphics info has to pass through the chipset so I assume the driver wasn't up to the job.

Compaq V2000 Display blacks out

sounds like the backlight has gone....test with an external monitor....if the external monitor works without any problems...the backlight has gone...better to get a professional to do this as its kind of fiddly and involves taking the screen apart

I'm not sure about the inverter part of this but have you checked the menu options on the monitor itself to be sure the brightness and contrast haven't gotten messed up? Sometimes as a monitor gets older it requires more brightness to look the same.
