The player won't charge anymore. When connected to the AC, status is fully charged, When disconnected, status is empty. The battery has been replaced but didn't solve the problem. When the battery is charged the player is fully functional. Any ideas how to go one here?

Re: charging problems Archos Gmini 220
Have you tried another charger? if the charger has a little light that turns green or red when fully charged, there is a huge possibility that the charger is in bad shape. either way its weird that it is detecting incoming charge, so i would guess a master reset or flashing it would kind of fix the problem if it is in the software.. you could check in your manual if you can do that...

I was having a similar problem where my 160 gb Archos 605 would not hold a charge even after two days of being plugged in through an AC wall adapter. It worked fine for 5 months without a problem, but then all of the sudden it would not hold a charge even if the LED light was blinking green.
One thing that I found that makes it now hold a charge now is by letting is by plugging it in to a computer. I don't know why, but for some reason, now when I charge it through a computer usb as opposed to the wall adapter, it charges and holds a chrage for over 3 hours. So, maybe try to just let the thing charge through a computer.
The charger which came with my Gmini 220 is 5V DC, 1.6A. It measures about 5.18V. The +5V is applied to the normally unused pin on the USB connector. The charger's plug is built so you and plug the charger into the Gmini and then plug the USB cable into the charger.

"What kind of batteries does my Gmini220 use and how can I replace them?
The Archos Jukebox Multimedia uses a factory installed Lithium Ion battery.
If the duration of a full charge seems very low, please contact customer service at the following address for US (email@example.com) or the following address for Europe (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please Note: Do not attempt to change the batteries, this could cause damage to your Jukebox and void your warranty."
Hope this helps :)
