Question about Intel Celeron D 325 2.53GHz 533MHz 256KB Socket 478 CPU (Bulk)
I have a celeron 2.6 cpu
the motherboard is (gigabyte GA 81845GV
now using ddr ram
Hi. The amount of memory that can be installed is limited by the motherboard, not the CPU. That being said, the motherboard you have listed will take the following memory:
Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700,DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.

Your maximum memory is 2 gb per slot because older motherboards doesnt support more than 4 gb or 6 gb

The CPU really doesn't matter when it comes to RAM. The main factors are the motherboard and the BIOS on the MB.
As far as I can tell, if the MB number you gave is correct, it can hold a max of 4GB (1GB per slot) of DDR2 PC2-5300 or DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM modules.
To be certain, go to www.crucial.com and run their system scanner. It is safe and it will tell you how much you have now, what kind it takes, and what it will hold.
Thanks for using Fixya.

clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor specifically around your central processing unit making VERY sure there is no moisture in the air line
as dust will cause a lot of static which will make a computer overheat and cause lots of problems
