Re: problem

Somehow the configuration of the scanner has been changed.
You need to use the configuration codebook and the "ADF" rules to correct the post-amble character. For Excel I know DOWN arrow works.

One word of caution. The manual is quite confusing regarding how to get the right post amble in there. You have to look up the 4 digit code in a table (in the manual) and then scan that code in one digit at a time.

If memory serves me correctly the little 3 page paper owners manual that comes along with the scanner has a default barcode on it. I'm thining the default puts the post-amble you need into the scanner ..but it will wipe out any other changes you have in there ... hopefully there are none.

My barcode scanning set up should be: scan tab scan enter. How can I program it

Hi,The easiest way would be to print out the control code for <tab> <enter> and scan them after you barcode is scanned.
As far as i know its not possible to have two post-emble's and to alternate between the two.
The other and far harder way is to have the text input fields on your program to deliver the correct <tab>, <enter> when you exit the text field.

LS 2208. I have to add preffix ^ to Code 39 and suffix @ to

The easiest way to do this would be to write two Advanced Data Formatting rules using the LS2208 Product Reference Guide at this link (I suggest saving a copy then printing the pages from that saved copy)

You should scan the following barcodes in order:

Begin New Rule Adobe page 232 of 342
Send All Data that Remains Adobe page 246 of 342
Send @ Adobe page 272 of 342
Save Rule Adobe page 232 of 342
Begin New Rule Adobe page 232 of 342
Code 39 Adobe page 235 of 342
Send ^ Adobe page 275 of 342
Send All Data that Remains Adobe page 246 of 342
Send @ Adobe page 272 of 342
Save Rule Adobe page 232 of 342

Scanning the barcodes in this order will make the scanner send an @ after every barcode scanned other than Code 39. Code 39 barcodes will get the ^ before the data and an @ after the data.
