In this particular printer, this Error is described as Cartridge Home Position error. Try the steps that I am giving you:----
1.Turn off and unplug the printer from the power supply. 2.Remove any paper.Buy a can of compressed air from an electronics shop or computer store. Use the compressed air (Not a vacuum!!!) to blast out any dust bunnies, paper particles and debris. (Don't do this with the cartridges removed as you're likely to fill the printhead with air!!)Use isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab (Qtip) to clean the plastic strip that runs the length of the guide rail (the metal rail that the cartridge carriage moves along), it may be contaminated with ink and debris.Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges inside the cartridge carriage to ensure that they're connecting properly. 3.With the power off, carefully slide the print head (carriage) to the center of the guide rail. You should not have to force it! (There will be some light resistance but it should move quite easily by gently pushing on it with your finger.) 4.Close all the access doors, plug it back in, connect your USB cable and turn on the power. As it runs through the initialization, the printer should sense that the carriage is out of position and automatically move it back to where it should be.

I have a AR207 printer. I print to it through a wireless network. If I send more than about 6 pages to it, it locks up. The diplay sometimes says Printing and the copier has a sound like it's trying to print but never does. Sometime the printer dislay says Call for Service. I always have to turn off the printer and resend the job being careful not to send any more than 6 pages. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Could it be memory in the printer? Thanks, Fred

I have only used my cannon ip1800 several times. It had a printer jam which I removed but it still won't print and it still says paper jam. What should I do? The paper won't feed. Please suggest a solution. Should I take it back to the store? Is this a poor brand?
