SOURCE: ice maker jambed-now no water

The ice maker must be re-primed with water to sense frozen ice in the tray, dump, and refill. Use a cup or glass to manually pour the water into the tray just below the top of the blades. It should freeze, dump, and refill.

SOURCE: Fixing broken door lock of Indesit W123X washing Machine

no easy way to open
disconnect from mains
take top off. feel down the front to where the door lock is and see if you can feel the door peg sticking thro the door interlock. force this with your fingers and with luck the door will open
if can't do this way, break handle off and lever peg with a small screwdriver
you can buy a handle kit complete. fitting this is not difficult - split the door and all will be revealed advise you make a carefull note of where springs go etc before you start stripping it down or take a few fotos if you have a digicam

SOURCE: What is proper way to remove and replace ignition barrel?

You will have to take apart the steering column, breaking it down to the switch in order to get it out. I hope you have a lot of patience.

SOURCE: lock barrell on the drivers side is broken

you'll need to remove your door panel (screws are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door) and pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.

I'm not sure what you mean by lock barrell.. I'm guessing the cylinder which you'll just have to bolt back onto the door.. you may need to find a specific bolt though....

SOURCE: Drivers side door lock barrel fell out???

This is a common fault on A4 VAG cars (Mk 4 Golfs, Skoda Octavias, Seat Leon, Beetle, Audi TT , Audi A3) you will need to remove the door card from the inside. Repair kits are available so it may be possible to repair the lock barrel but for the effort htat is required to remove the door card I would replace the lock barrel rather than repair it.

I can't open the door from either side

after you open the doors remove the inner panel from door and you have access to the lock mechanism you can remove the door handle with the 2 10mm bolts or unlock the barrel there is a little clip holding the barrel into the door handle its tight but can be removed if you are sure that the problem is in the lock or the actuator assm before doing all this try to remove the rod from lock actuator and try to open and close with the key dont close the doors leave them open as to not lock the doors and be unable to reopen

CHANCES ARE THAT ONE OF THE DOOR JAMB SWITCHES COULD BE JAMBED OR NOT WORKING DUE TO A WIRE BROKEN OR JUST A FAULTY SWITCH.

Interior light / electric locks chattering with no key in switch

Yes, you are missing something. The days of removing the battery cable ended with Generators. An Alternator will self destruct if you do that. Be certain to remove it and get it bench tested. Usually kills diodes and often regulator.

the doors clicking sounds like a problem in the door lock circuit, often in the door jamb. If you inspect and find broken wires in the door jamb, do not repair there, you need to replace the entire length. All repairs fail quickly. The wired need to be new and flexible.

On the no start with new battery, be sure to test the neutral safety switch.

How do to remove ignition barrel as key broken in barrel

You must remove the steering wheel and locking plate underneath. This requires special tools that may be lended to you if you live near an Autozone and purchase the parts from them. To remove the tumble you must turn it to the "run" position with a screwdriver and poke in the small locking pin that is located on the front bottom surface of the tumbler bore. If you are unable to turn the keyswitch, it becomes necessary to replace the entire steering collar. Thank you, Dana

My electric door locks keep unlocking and even if they are unlocked they keep trying to unlock

Well, something is broken, somewhere. Start by removing batteries from remote key fobs, ALL of them, then pull apart each lock control switch, testing after each one is disconnected...the the ares of suspect is wires going through the door jambs. Starting with the drivers door.

If you find wiring damaged at the door jamb, you must replace the wire, rather than repair, so that there is NEW wire completely through the jamb area, anything else fails really fast, due to the flexing... At least cut damaged wire inside the door and inside the vehicle at kick panel...

Power windows/locks driver's 6 switch control

I am thinking you have broken wires in your drivers door jamb. Most of the window/lock problems I have run across on these trucks are broken wires in door jambs.

To answer your question, no, the switches are not available individually. If your mechanic finds no broken wires and still wants to replace the switches I would call to several recycled parts yards.

My 2004 jeep grand chercke laredo, the doors will not lock nor will the windows roll up or down. and it keeps saying driver door open. Have any ideas what it could be

The wires in the door jambs on thses trucks are horrible about breaking. I am willing to bet you have 1 or 2 wires broken in the drivers door jamb. Peel the rubber boot back from the door side of the wire conduit and am sure you will find a few broken wires. I usually fish the wires back out into the body and solder new leads on for a long lasting repair. They come out into the footwell area but you have to remove the kick panel to gain access to them.

Good Luck
