How to use a sd card on 3Ds

I have a Nintendo 3ds console and a supercard dstwo flashcard, I want to download some GBA roms
and play it on my console with the feature of supercard dstwo! Supercard dstwo supports playing
GBA and SNES emulator games on 3DS/ 3DS XL/ DS. At the first, I can not find where I should go
to download there games until my friend told me! The downloading website is coolrom.com. It
provides various kinds of game roms for downloading, all free, just pay a little time for kinds
of disgusting ads and possible chance of wrong-downloading. That's a great place for sources!

You should know what kind of flashcard you need depends on the price and function, also on the
console you have! If you have a DS or DSi console, playing 3ds games is not a reality for you,
you should choose one from kinds of flashcards that support ds and dsi games! You have many
choice there, r4i gold, r4i dual-core, r4i sdhc and so on. They may have a little difference on
price, but that's doesn't matter! Function is another factor you must care, many people want
to use flashcard to play retro gba and snes games on ds, dsi and 3ds. At that time, you should
put functions that flashcards have in comparison though they have the most similar functions!
Supercard dstwo is the best flashcard to play emulator games ever as I know!

Can I switch the micro sd hc card inside my DStt card to a new DStti card to work in my DSi XL? Am I able to use the games or have I lost everything?

Hey Sethier,

You can probably swap your DSTT card for a newer card like the Acekard 2i, Supercard DSTWO, Cyclo DS iEvolution, or frankly any of a number of cards that will work on the new DSi Xl and 3DS consoles. I would personally recommend the Supercard DSTWO, though, I use it myself. It also has GBA emulation built-in which is kind of awesome if you want to play older games. The Acekard 2i is cheaper, but doesn't have the GBA functionality.

I'm not sure where you're based but if you're in the US, use "dsmagazine" as a voucher (I found this on an online DS news site) for DSCardWorld.com, they're authorised retailers of the Acekard and Supercard - I think also a few others. NDS-gear.com is probably better if you live in the Europe or in the UK though since they have cheaper shipping there. They still stock authentic cards so you should be all right either way.

Good luck, and please kindly upvote my answer if you've found it useful! :-)

I've transfered games onto my sd card and put it into my r4 but it says Menu? when i put my r4 card into my ds. I need step by step please :)

Hi Shaw,

This problem is likely because the latest Nintendo based firmware doesn't actually support old R4 and fake R4i cards, only very specific R4i cards support it (namely the official R4i 3DS). You can probably swap your R4 card for a newer card like the Acekard 2i, Supercard DSTWO, Cyclo DS iEvolution, or frankly any of a number of cards that will work on the new DSi XL and 3DS consoles. I would personally recommend the Supercard DSTWO, though, I use it myself. It also has GBA emulation built-in which is kind of awesome if you want to play older games. How load music in the sd card to my nintendo dsi

If you want to play music on your dsi you have to convert it to aac files, most music is mp3 files but your dsi wont play mp3 files on your dsi unless to put them on your sd ames sd card, then if you put them in your system folder they open it they will play, but if you want to put them on a sd card they into the side sd slot you have to convert them, the way to do that is to download itunes, unless you allready have it, they play the track or tracks you want on itunes, stop the track and right click the track and click create aac version, wait for it to convert, you will hear a ring when it is done, then right click the converted file and click show in windows explorer, then put your sd card into your pc and drop and drag the songs you have in the windows file, you can put them in a music folder if you like, then when you have all the music you want on the card, put in into the side slot on your dsi then turn it on and open the sd card folder and you will see a music file, then open it a play your music, hope this helps you, cheers Roger M.

I downloaded music onto a sd card but the dsi will not read the music on the card

Your music has to be from i-tunes or it has to be AAC file. Good Luck :D

Unable to read sd card

Hi grecko, Hope this helps, I've just bought a 4gb memory card for my daughter's ds so she can fit 58-60 games instead of 28 on a 2gb memory card and have downloaded and put a file onto the memory card before loading games onto it.

Supercard DS one have a site where you can download the files you need and it gives help. Guess it's the same if using an R4 supercard too but I bought an R4 card for partner preloaded with software.

I'm confused. Are you saying that you can't play files on the SD card from the computer itself? Or, the songs won't play on the mp3 player once the SD card is loaded into the mp3 player?

First, make sure the songs are in the right format - each mp3 player will only play files of a certain type. Your best bet is to only use Mp3 format files -everything else is going to give you one problem or another.

Second, there is a size limit to what type of SD card the mp3 player can read. 2GB SD cards are the absolute maximum that this player will handle, and probably only 1GB even.

Hope this helps a little.

K6 supercard

You have to access the SuperCard memory and delete or make a backup of some of the files in the card to make place for the save files.

Usually sellers fill the flashcart memory to make it more attractive because buyers think as many games, it is better. But they dont consider the space needed for each save file and that is why so many lack of place errors and flashcart blockings...

I am not sure what type of flashcart is that but there out are only 2 classes and the ways to access the memory to make place:

1. Internal Memory FlashCarts: as the memory is embeded you do need a flashlinker or link cable to access the memory. If not included with your card you have to call your seller and ask for it, or directly buy one specific for your cart.

2. External Memory Flashcarts: these ones are much easier to access as you can take out the flash memory and plug it on some easy to find flash memory reader, usually one is included with the card.

Regards...
