I think my cpu died, how do I take off old one with heatsink and fan attached. The motherboard is an iwill p4s.

You will need to remove the fan first. Usually, if its a stock intel fan, there are 2 clips that lift up, then you will need to pry the edges out of the notches. Once you get the fan off, there is a little metal bar you will lift up to open the cpu holder and release the pins. Then lift the cpu up out of the socket.

Iwill DP533 Motherboard Problem, stripped out all but video, ram, kb - no beeps, powers-up, all fans go - no video. Fried MB? Fried PS?

Hello there stanjcohen.

Here's your geek-steer ...

Is the monitor "known good"? Hook up to "known good" PC to determine.

Based on your description, I would first suspect the video card as opposed to either the motherboard (MB) or power supply unit (PSU):

Either place a "known good" video card in the target system, or extract target system's video card and install in "known "good" PC to determine.

Good luck, and please do post back ...
