Hi I have a 2year old kodak easyshare zoom digital camera V1253, When I press the on button the camera attempt's to come on but very quickly switches it's self off again, I have replaced the battery and...

This camera takes 2 size AA batteries, preferably the longest life batteries possible. I use re-chargeable batteries, and when they have about given up the camera does the same thing; prepares to open the lens and then switches off. I am confident that you will have success with new re-chargeable batteries, and a close attention to their charge life.

Have fun using this wonderful model for recording life events. Comment on this fix for me when you are successful...

Battery Charging light doesn't flash and battery doesn't charge

I have the same problem. Worked for 3 years and now the battery charges to green but goes dead immediately. I've changed batteries. Its the camera not the batteries. Works fine plugged in. Obviously the cameras are not charging the batteries. Canon must know but I cannot find a fix and warranty is over. I guess buying the expensive camera of the day isnt always assuring you of quality.

High battery consume

Short in the camera so you do not get proper switch off even when you switch the camera off ( so it stays on all the time ). Or your charger is not fully charging your batteries which then go into your camera say half charged and dont last very long.

Help, my camera will not charge, the green light never comes on.

Probabaly not the best advice you will be given but just included out of interest, I had a Kodak which would not charge properly and which saw even a new battery as discharged,I looked forward to an immence repair bill but was advised to clean the actual connection in the camera which makes contact with the battery. I used a fiber glass pencil and to my surprise this totaly cleared all the fault.I am sorry to say that your problem sounds somewhat worse than mine but the cost of attempting a repair is minimal.
